the door switches are part of the door latch, the easiest way to remedy this is to spray liberal amounts of WD40 into each latch and open and close the each door a few times, this should loosen up the latch and solve your problem.

Try the autozone.com website and register the car. It doesn't cost anything and you will have access to an online repair manual. The steps for replacing the water pump should be available there. Hope this helped and best wishes.
