I would not suggest repairing yourself. Sounds like a blend door actuator. Not to sure on a toyota because i know more about domestic but i believe that the dash needs to be taken apart to replace this part or to atleast examine your duct work behind the dash. Hope this helps! ~Derek~

Check this diagram location for 1994 Toyota 4 Runner 4WD 3.0 liter SOHC V-6 (3VZ-E)...
