Question about 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
My check engine light on my chevy monte carlo ss is on. After diagnosing the problem it seems to be cylinder 1 is misfiring. I just spent $2000 on other repairs and tune up, does anyone know what this entails?

Take it to autozone and get a free dianostic check with a scan tool. The code will point you in the right direction to diagnos the problem.

The ck engine light should not be ignored, what sensor was shown to be bad ? Have it scanned again and replace the sensor that is bad if it still runs rough you might want to consider a tune up. Plugs, wires, fuel and air filter's and clean the throttle body with some gumout. It could also be the IAC motor Idle Air Control. Good Luck

The fuel filter is located in the pressure line that runs from the fuel tank to the engine,
near to the fuel tank.
Keep the engine off for few hours before replacing the filter, to get rid of some pressure in the lines.

this depends on whats wrong with the cruise control if its just a fuse then it will be relatively cheap if its the servo itll be a little more expensive but not extremely outrageous should be around $100 or less give a take a few dollars.

I'd suspect a sticking injector--car should have set the check engine light. Read the code(s) to progress further. If the coil pack were a problem, it would not be likely to fix itself. If the codes indicate an injector problem, try an injector cleaner in the fuel--worst case, replace the bad injector. The codes should indicate which cylinder to change the injector.
