Where is my relay and fuse location at for the day time running lights on a 1997 oldsmobile aurora

There is not a separate fuse nor is there a relay ,A LCM - lamp control module controls the DRL .
the lamp control module (LCM) supplies battery positive voltage (B+) through the DRL resistor to the low beam headlamps. The voltage drop across the DRL resistor causes the low beam headlamps to light at a reduced intensity. The DRL are disabled if the high beam headlamps are on or if the gear selector is placed in the PARK position. When the ambient light sensor indicates darkness, the low beams automatically switch to regular intensity.

Lamp Control Module (LCM) (Oldsmobile)
Under the left side of the IP, to the left of the steering column

Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) Resistor
To the left of the engine compartment, near the underhood fuse block

The problem is a Headlight module. Fuse box under the hood has two black modules side by side, the one on your right is the headlight module the one on the left is the fan module. Try swapping them, if the headlights work replace bad module, don't drive vehicle with the bad module in the fan slot. Mine kept going bad because I had a high intensity bulb on one side.

There is a fuse that controls; headlamps, DRL module & instrument cluster. It is the fuse box inside the vehicle mounted on the side of the dash on the drivers side and you can see the panel if you open the door. the fuse that I am talking about is in the # 33 position. If you are looking into the box the one on the very bottom closest to the firewall. There are onlt two fuses on the bottom and they are both sideways. It's a 15 Amp fuse. Ihope this helped you and good luck.

I need to know were to find the DRL Module for a 2003 F-150 4x4. My hi and low beem lights work ok , and the auto light sencor works . Its that my Day time running lights do not come on .

The wiring diagram does not show a stand alone drl module for the 03 f150. However it shows 2 drl
relays located in aux. relay box #2 located behind the right side of the dash, left of the glove box.
Also there is the drl resistor located behind the grill, right of the left headlight. Relay #1 is fused at
fuse #5-15a in the fuse block under the left dash. Relay #2 uses fuse #26-10a under left of dash.
Hope this helps.

hello, the left and right headlight fuses are powered by the same circuit. the circuit is bus bar inside the fuse block. if you are 100 percent sure the fuse is dead, then the only possiblitie is a bad fuse block

Day time Running Lights

For those of you thinking, "hey, mine doesn't have daytime running lamps!", it's because only models sold in Canada had them.
The DRL module is located on the front lower side of the power distribution center attached to the bracket .  The PDC is the black box just behind the battery, so it should be kind of sandwiched in there. As far as a diagnosis for them staying on, the manual only provides for info for DRLs that do not come on at all.  If changing the DRL doesn't fix the problem let me know and I will try and get you schematics and connection explanations.
