Question about 1991 Toyota Camry
I have a 1991 camry and I drained the battery. I boosted it, and it was running so I went to work. After about 4 hours I went to restart it and there was some power, but wouldn't start. When we were boosting it, someone put the positive on the wrong side. Now the car won't start and the indicator when the key is in isnt beeping anymore. The lights work, but no signal from the ignition. Did I blow the main fuse? and if so, will replacing it help get it started.
You'll need to check all of the fuses to find out. You may need a test light or meter to check them correctly.

Try lightly tapping the starter with a spanner and at the same time turning the key to start, if it starts you need the starter overhauled.

I would suggest having the battery tested. Theres nothing wrong with getting a jump start, It is suggested that you let the other car run for 5-10 min. W/cables hooked to your car before starting yours

Some of these cars have a fusible link,to protect major parts.its a wire with the fuse built into it.a repair manual with the wiring diagram is a big help finding it. It could also be a bad ground wire these are a black wire bolted in different locations from the motor to the body.also could be a bad battery cable rare but it does happen broken wire ,etc.hope this helps Good luck.
