ok my truck done the same thing put it in reverse then to drive to check my universal joint and heard a pop and then i lost 2nd, 4th, and reverse all at one time it ended up being the sun-shell gear in the tranny cost me almost 500 to fix hope this helps out

There is a switch relay that plugs behine the ignition switch cylinder.You would have to take apart the dash console to take it apart to replace it.Also helps solve a few problem on the 2001 chevrolet impala, with heat gauage not working and a/c not blowing cold air anymore.Replacing it, should fix the problem with that.

You are grinding the transmission. This needs repair immidiately before the transmission gets any worse. You need to take the vehical to a repair shop. Whatever you have to pay now is a lot better than what you will have to pay if the transmission gets shot. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!
