The fuel pressure guage is to the fuel rail, I turned the key to the on position and the gauge reads 50psi.

i would go to the ecm connector and backprobe the injector circuits and see if they have power one quick check to see if the ecm is powered up is cycle the key to the run position and see if the check engine lights up it should come on for a couple of seconds and go out if it does a bulb check you know the ecm is powered up

I replaced the ecm, cam shaft position sensor et the3 crank position sensor. I even have compression on all cylenders. just in case it jumped time. I checked the timing its all on just wont start buck or shift.M

1999 Chevy Blazer. It won't start and run. It will crank when first trying to start, then dies.

Question edited for clarity and fix typo.
Question moved to model category.

'Cranking' is purely the engine turning over. It cranks, almost starts and then it does nothing next time you turn the key? Flat battery.

Or, you turn the key, it cranks, fires and almost starts and then dies? More reasons for that scenario. Check for diagnostic trouble codes. Did you disconnect the battery when you replaced the fuel pump? Did it work after that? Does it have an engine immobilizer and did you reset it after the disconnect?

1999 chevy blazer not starting

Check the plug wire from the ignition coil to the distributor cap.
If you haven't already, replace the distributor cap and rotor.
The GM Vortec's have issues with moisture getting inside the cap and rotor and causing problems.

1999 chevy suburban 5.7 L. vortec. Can a bad camshaft sensor cause a no start? rebuilt engine, fuel pressure 60 LBS.,spark at all the plugs, compression 140 lbs, timing is dead on.

i do believe it will not start with out it if you can hook up a scan tool to it crank the engine and look at rpms while cranking should read about two hundred forty rpms thats what fires the injectors the cam sensor tells the computer what cylinder is ready to fire next also scanner will set the cam timming.

I have a 1999 chevy blazer that died and will not start

Looks like you've covered the basics, make sure the firing order is correct with your spark plug wire replacement. Hope this diagram helps.

1999 chevy blazer wont start

THE FUEL PUMP IS BAD.

if your losing fuel pressure after the pump runs the drain back valve in the pump has failed.

and i doubt that you are seeing enough fuel pressure to run a vortec engine.

low fuel pressure equals a non running vortec

2000 Chevy Blazer Cranks but wont start...

What about the fuel filter????? Have you changed it out??? If you can spary something like a started fluid, that means it is a fuel problem. My last check, it has to be above 50-psi on the fuel pressure to make it run right. I had 35psi, but whould not get over 30mph or down hill maybe 45mph. Check both filter & pressure, but check pressure with a New fule filter!!!!
