1999 camero isnt getting power to fuel pump have changed the relay.

Have power to relay port but none back at the pump

You need to check the relay for both power on the control side and the switched side you should get a 2 second pulse from the ecm when the key is turned on to activate the relay (this is the control side of the relay) and once a rpm signal is received the relay is activated if no power on the control side check ecm fuses if no power on the switched side check fuel pump fuse if power is at fuses suspect open circuit in junction box also supply a gnd to relay to see if it will activate this will tell you witch side of the relay you are working on also look on top or side of the relay usually there is a diagram telling you what is what

    while you and i know how simple it is they will make many rookie mistakes like thinking the pump is getting power because one wire at the relay has power

Take a test light end check that there is ower comeing though the wires, There could be a break in one of the wires going to it,

The fuel pump relay only energizes for 2 seconds when you turn the key on. It re-energizes once the pcm detects engine rpm. What you are seeing may be the normal operation of the system.

If the vehicle still won't start or the fuel pump dosen't run you will have to trace the wiring from the relay to the pump and check your grounds.

im not sure of the color wires that should be powered but have you checked the fuel pump relay under the hood? also check that you have a good ground at the pump dont check just the positive voltage check for negative (ground) also

SOURCE: no power at fuel pump chev.S-10 looking for fuel pump relay and fuse

The fuel pump relay is located Under hood, driver side, upper firewall, mounted in relay block.

The fuse is located under the instrument panel to the left of the steering column. The fuse block should be visible from underneath the steering column, near the pedal bracket. If the panel is not visible, check for a removable compartment door or trim panel which may be used on later models to hide the block.

i am having the same problem with my 96 pickup i am getting low voltage to my fuel pump i have traced the wires back to the front the purpel wire is the one with low voltage i replaced fuel pump also fuel relay and still have low voltage

hmm sounds like a fuel relay isnt working or a fuse for the fuel pump has burned out some cars will still run with a bad fuse for the fuel pump but not as well as it should check all fuses and relays going to the fuel pump if none are bad try replacing the fuel pump and filters for fuel

1999 lincon town car no power to fuel injector

Sometimes a crankshaft sensor does not send the signal to fire either the spark or the fuel injectors. If the fuel pump relay is not getting power, the inertia sensor will not have power either. The inertia reset is just magnetic and does not depend on having power to reset.

You can check for current at the Inertia sensor and at the fuel pump relay. You can also have fuel pressure at the test port without the injectors working, which is the easiest test of all,

You need the sequential firing pulse for the injectors. Have you checked the EEC Relay?

There is power to the blue wire leaving the fuel pump relay but no power to the blue wire entering the gas tank at the under seat access port.

Please check the continuity of the fuel pump signal wire from the computer (pin 70) to the relay. If the wire shows good continuity, check to make sure the computer ground is solid. If none of this works, run a jumper from the relay to chassis ground. Please get back to me if you cannot get the pump to run.

My 2001 v6 camero aint geting any gas it cranks up i changed the filter im praying its not the pump is there any thing i can check before i try a new pump

First, check for blown fuses. Find the fuel pump relay and swap it with another relay to see if that helps. If it does, replace the bad relay. Most late model cars have a fuel shutoff, or inertia switch that shuts down the fuel pump in an accident. They can be triggered for no reason at all. Check your owners manual to see if it has reset instructions for the fuel shut off. In the meantime I will do some research and see what I Can find and get back to you.

I have a silhouette and it had the same problem
Follow the fuel pump wiring harness to where it plugs into the floor of the van--pull the connectors apart--they will probably be corroded, and you will possibly have to change both wiring harnesses or connectors.

Lost Power to Fuel pump

There is a fuel pump fuse in the fuse box, also there is a fuel pump relay under the hood in the power control box, One of these is ur problem.
