Question about Cars & Trucks
On a 2000 Mercury Villager Estate with a 3.3 V6 A need a diagram of the location of the camshaft sensor, I hook up my OD 2 reader to run a trouble shoot, and it came back as the camshaft sensor, because it won't start.

The diagnostic connector is located on the engine near the starter. However, there are four connectors in that location and without pictures it would be difficult to determine which is the proper one

According to the Haynes manual it is under the intake manifold, Upper and lower intake manifolds must be removed for access. If you go to Auto Zone, they have the sensor and can give you the step by step instructions to replacing the knock sensor with common tools. Good luck and hope this help.

It is under the lower intake manifold in the valley of the engine. You must remove the cross over coolant tube to gain access to the knock sensor. It bolts into the cylinder head. Good luck
