Front suspension noise

When I start driving the car, especially when the car has been sitting for a while, the front suspension makes a lot of noise when going over small bumps on the road and i mean small undulations. On my previous car the same noise occurred and it ended up being the sway-bar-links. I had those checked by a mechanic and they told me that they looked okay.Any Ideas?oh and I drive a 2007 Saturn Aura XE, v6 3.5lThank you

I have a 2008 Aura with the same symptoms. I took it to the dealer and he said it was the strut mount. I didn't get it fixed because of the $600+ estimate. I did hear of someone getting replacement KYB units from Tire rack that solved the problem.

Have your mechanic or the dealer check your strut bearing caps - toyota had a problem with these going bad in some of the camrys, and they would make alot of noise, even if you were just running over pea sized rocks and such..

2000 Ford Mustang GT has very loud cabin noise while driving, but not while idling or revving the engine at idle.

At that mileage your wheel bearings probably need changing, especially if you haven't been lubricating them whenever you did a brake job! Usually the front wheel bearings, the ones taking the weight from the engine and turning weight transfer to the outside wheels on curves burn out first...do it!!!

06 impala lt makes noise when rolling over 30 mph noise stops when car not moving

Did you recently change your tires? An aggresive tread design, like a mud and snow tread, can create road noise that becomes more noticable at higher speeds. Bad wheel bearings can also produce a "roaring" sound, especially in front wheel drive cars. To check them, jack the front wheel up and spin the tire by hand. It won't spin smoth and even, there will be some resistance and you will hear grinding or crunching.

If your transmission was low enough on fluid, it could conceivably make noise. Also check your U joints or CV joints for play. any play in them will make noise although it is usually accompanied by a feeling of looseness or "jerking", especially when making changes in direction or speed.

There can be a lot of reasons for noise, but start by checking these things first. Hope this helps.

Our 2005 Navigator is like sitting on it's front wheels. The air suspension is not working. Last fall we had an issue with the driver's front side not leveling. The dealership replaced a piston looking...

Anyone with a Mountaineer or Explorer should remove
the Factory Air Suspension, and replace with conventional
shocks/struts.

There are lots of companies with those products

I do not believe, even a dealer can resolve all the
issues,especially with the Mountaineer

When you go over 2 or 3 thousand dollars trying to keep
believing, you can get it to work, you will switch from
the air ride, and end what should have never been on
those vehicles in the first place.

Hi, I have a lot of bumping noise when i drive on

The bushings to the front suspension are completely worn out. They must be replaced before the shock damage your other suspension parts.

FRONT END SQWEAL AND MAKES NOISES

Yep....agreed. Ball joints are bad....if you had done maintenance on the front end steering or suspension system, you need a front end alignment. But, you definitely have issues with the suspension system.

Tierod, ball joints, struts....could be a lot of things.

Let us know what has been done to the front end.
