Google " DYNAMAT" , " FATMAT " or " ROADKILL" - these are ALL different types of sound deadening material made specifically for the automotive market.

Mk3 mondeo engine loud ticking like grinding all the time.just had problem with injectors.had all 4 replaced.the garage says piston slap

Is this a new noise your hearing? If your mechanic has correctly diagnosed the noise find more info here:

The distinctive noise of a diesel engine is variably called diesel clatter, diesel nailing, or diesel knock. Diesel clatter is caused largely by the diesel combustion process; the sudden ignition of the diesel fuel when injected into the combustion chamber causes a pressure wave. Engine designers can reduce diesel clatter through: indirect injection; pilot or pre-injection; injection timing; injection rate; compression ratio; turbo boost; and exhaust gas recirculation (EGR).

Whining noise

would need head under the bonnet to know for sure but feel the AC lines as a lack of gas can cause a noise like this but its not often that you can hear it above the clanking of the diesel engine ,no petrol ones here at our fuel prices

2002 toyota tacoma prerunner knocking sound in the morning

Right change the oil and add a diesel multigrade as this will clean the inside of the engine including the hydraulic tappets which will allow them to adjust up straight away ,providing that this is the problem and its not the big ends or piston slap Would need my head under the bonnet to hear the noise though to know for sure .

Where is the relay glow plug located on a mitsubishi L200 4x4 2003 diesel

tilt the bonnet, ask someone to sit byt the drivers seat and ask him to turn the ignition on.immediately you should listen a click on the front left side inner wing. That noise comes from the relay. also check on the cylinder head on the right side behind the cover of timing cover above the first injector there is a sensor when engine is warm or cold to allow the time of the glow plugs to work.

Hie,my fiat punto 2004 reg auto transmission, vibrates heavily when engine warms up.this happens when you stop and engage into (D) for drive.I have tried to drain and add new ATF oil but it won't solve...

This is likely not in your transmission. It sounds like you may also be experiencing some low acceleration and poor mileage. The open bonnet is indicative of needing repairs under the bonnet. It sounds like a probable misfire (i.e. bum spark plug or plug wire(lead)). This doesn't sound too major but do have it inspected before it becomes catastrophic in the future. Cheers and let me know if you need anything else. Just occurred to me, is this a diesel engine?
