Question about 2001 Toyota Tacoma
3.4 V6 check engine light is on but runs fine around town. Code is random misfire. as I get up to 50 MPH or so the check engine light starts flashing and the motor cuts in and out.
It could be bad spark plugs ,Or spark plug wires, Or fuel injecters, Or the motor has seen it,s better days, Depending on the mileledge on the vehicle, End if it was ever mantained (Properly)

Hi, my first recommendation would be to take the plugs out and visually inspect each one and check to make sure they are properly gapped, if they look fouled at all i would replace them without hesitation. try throwing a set of NGK plugs in the car to fix the misfires. other than that you may want to look at the wires. good luck joe
