Question about 1997 Honda Civic
After long rains the passenger side back floor and under the passenger side back seat are VERY wet. Like a bucket of water poured on the floor. The top of the back seat is not wet until you sit on it and compress it. It's getting wet under the seat without the top being wet.

you will need to get a flashlight and get down under the pass side and another guy with a hose to hose down the area you need to see, and find where its coming in at.

SOURCE: 2002 Honda Accord Wet Floor
most common problem is the a/c condensor tube is clogged and is under the car and needs to be cleared with compressed air. also the sunroof track has 4 drain tubes and the right front may be clogged or leaking. you can check that by pouring a cup of water down the right front drain tube in the sunroof track and see if water comes out by the right front wheel

Sometimes tough to find. If it only gets wet when driving, the problem could be in the floor pan...possibly a rubber stopper missing. If it happens when it rains without driving, may be in a door seal or coming thru the windshield gasket. Water leaks also can come in on one side and follow other objects then drip somewhere else, (because of surface tension). You can take a water hose and wet one section at a time to try and narrow down the source of the leak. Has the car had body work done? If so, look at the repaired area. Look at rubber seals around the doors and windows. Good Luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

Testimonial: "It is my daughter's car. She did have body work done.but it was replacement of a bumper. Does this shed any light on the problem?"
SOURCE: I have a 1992 Honda Accord and whenever it rains, water leak through the speaker on the passenger side door and make a big puddle on the floor. Also the water leaks into a hole in the floor by the ECU
Not comming from the speaker! Make sure that the rubber door trim aound the door is intact and not damaged. Additionally, check the rubber seal on the outside of the window where it retracts into the door. These are the only 2 ways that water can enter through the passenger door.

SOURCE: rain water under dash
I just solved this problem this morning on my Blazer, rain water from the windshield was dripping down the firewall and following a cable into the drivers side floorboard leaing a puddle of water after a hard rain. I using a little silicone to plug the hole solved it. Yea dry floor after monthes of mystery.
