Key light indicator is on and my car wont start

All of my interior and exterior lights are working but when I try to start my car, it wants to turn over but doesn't. The "key" indicator light on my dash comes on? What could this be? Ingnition switch, relay switch . . I have heard so many reasons.

If this vehicle has an anti theft resistor key reader, something went wrong in the system, need to call dealer, they will probably want to tow it in,but if you have another key try that first

Why won't my car start? no lights interior/exterior.

It seems that the battery is incapable of holding a charge. You might try disconnecting the battery cables and try charging the battery again over night. Reconnect and see if anything works - if nothing works - it's time for a new battery.

All indicates to a flat battery. If the lights work or the horn blows, that is no indication that the battery is still good. You need to use a hydrometer to test the electrolyte SG to check if the battery is at full charge.

I think you may have answered your own question. I would check to see if the fuel pump is turning on when you turn the key on to the run position. You should hear a buzz sound coming from the gas tank. I would start there.
