Check engine light came on


What do you mean "can't find code"? If the check engine light is on, there is a fault code stored in your onboard computer - that's the way it works. If you are using a generic OBD code reader, that is most likely the reason you cannot find any codes. You need to use a scanner that has the correct software to access your ENTIRE computer network, not just the "continuous memory" or "generic" side of your computer system.

The window problem is a seperate problem and must be diagnosed accordingly.

Showing Code P1309. Replaced the cam sensor and still showing the code or CMP. What can it be?


You may need to replace the PCM, engine computer. very rare issue. Personally, I would leave it. It is only there to tell you if a cylinder is not firing. You will know if one is.

HD41 CHECK CMP SENSOR OUTPUT
  • Connect PCM.
  • Connect digital multimeter.
  • Start engine and vary engine RPM.
  • Measure voltage between CMP and PWR GND circuits at the PCM harness connector.
Does AC voltage vary greater than 0.1 volt AC? Yes No VERIFY the correct installation by referring to the Electronic Engine Controls, Section 303-14 in the Workshop Manual. If CMP is installed properly, REPLACE PCM (refer to Section 2 , Flash EEPROM). REPLACE CMP sensor. COMPLETE Misfire Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle.

P1309 - Misfire Monitor Disabled When the misfire monitor is disabled, usually due to the input signal generated by the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, by sensing the passage of teeth from the CMP wheel.
  • Camshaft position sensor
  • Powertrain control module
  • ECT, MAF, and CKP sensors
Verify the CMP is installed correctly and not out of synchronization.

The P0511 code is for the idle air control circuit and the P1633 is stating the the KAM voltage is too low. My guess is if you are having issues with the Idle air control circuit this could cause stalling, especially if the valve is not functioning properly and allowing too much air at idle, this causing the car to stall. I can't imagine that by pulling the connector on the A/C compressor you would get either of these codes. Have you checked for corrosion on the battery or proper battery voltage level? As far as P0511 goes if you notice any hooting type noise that is a sure indicator of a faulty IAC valve, if not then I would say first check that you do have proper output from your battery/alternator and then either take it to get properly diagnosed or try to check the circuit yourself.

P0401 - EGR Flow Insufficient Detected The EGR system is monitored during steady state driving conditions while the EGR is commanded on. The test fails when the signal from the DPF EGR sensor indicates that EGR flow is less than the desired minimum.
  • Vacuum supply
  • EGR valve stuck closed
  • EGR valve leaks vacuum
  • EGR flow path restricted
  • EGRVR circuit shorted to PWR
  • VREF open to DPF EGR sensor
  • DPF EGR sensor downstream hose off or plugged

  • VPWR circuit open
  • EVAP canister purge valve circuit shorted to GND
  • Damaged EVAP canister purge valve

P1451 - EVAP Control System Canister Vent Solenoid Circuit Malfunction Monitors the canister vent (CV) solenoid circuit for an electrical failure. The test fails when the signal moves outside the minimum or maximum allowable calibrated parameters for a specified canister vent duty cycle by PCM command.
  • VPWR circuit open
  • CV solenoid circuit shorted to PWR GND or CHASSIS GND

with the codes you have here I would look in the direction of the egr valve first because that will cause the bucking and stalling, and the misfires, but so will the canister vent solonoid. the misfire codes and the cylinder overtemp code could be from overheating or because if the misfires.
