the MAF sensor is between the air filter and throttle body. the idle controll is at the throttle body.
Its located on the throttle body on the left side. Follow the air intake to an intake manifold which sits on top of the throttle body.

If it is the IAC then buy one. once you know exactly what it looks like then it should be easy to see it connected to your throttle body. Look at the new one to find out where potential bolt holes are and now you know where they are on the car as well. If the check engine light is still on after you replace it try disconnecting your battery cables for a few minutes and it should reset your computer and turn the light off.

It sounds like you have a vacuum leak or intake gaskets leaking. Try this. Start the engine and let it reach the idle it want to go to. Get you a can of Brake Clean and spray it around the intake manifold (it on the top center of the engine, you may have to removed a plastic cover) If the engine idle changes up or down then the intake gaskets are leaking hence your vacuum leak. I hope this will help you.

You idle air control valve should be located on the throttle body. Here is a link to a picture of it so you can see what you are looking for: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsShelf.jsp?categoryDisplayName=Engine+Management&fromType=parts&fromString=search&parentId=cat30067¤tPage=1&filterByKeyWord=IAC&isSearchByPartNumber=false&navValue=15900207&categoryNValue=15999999&fromWhere=&itemId=prod61721&displayName=Idle+Air+Control+Valve&searchText=IAC Let me know if you have any other questions.
