SOURCE: need to find the backup beeper or reverse light

You can purchase a reverse bulb that that has an audible signal only when the reverse lights come on. Check some parts stores. I have one in my 1995 F350, It works Great.

SOURCE: 2001 cavalier 5spd trans looking for the location

You have to jack up the vehicle and get to the switch from underneath. The B/U lamp switch is located on the transaxle and has a connector going to it with two wires... a light green and a pink colored one.

SOURCE: back up light switch

Have someone shift it in and out of reverse while you follow the linkage. Usually there is a button on the side of the transmission that when it goes into reverse in hits that button which lights up you reverse tail light. But have to tried to change the bulb first and check the fuse. the switch you seek really never goes out. Not in my life time have I heard of one going bad. If you were out four wheeling then maybe you could have bumped it loose and knocked the wire off but your car does not seem like the type to go mud dobbing!!! I hope this helped, The Raz

Location of back up light switch for 2002 jeep liberty

The switch is on the outside of the transmission case. See a photo of it below. It may have a short lead on it or the harness plugs directly in.

Start by resetting the INERTIA SWITCH. The location of the inertia switch will be found in your OWNER'S MANUAL. If you do not have your Owner's Manual, check online.

Where is the back-up light switch physically located? Is there a diagram available that shows the location? My Haines manual does not show it.

Hello jack isuzu
If you have a manual trans. with a 3.2 it's on top of the trans. if you have a 2.2 it's on the right side of the trans. My diagram does not show a seperate switch for the backup lights on an automatic
transmission, it may be part of the trans. gear position switch on the left side of the transmission.
Look for a red+yellow wire from the rear of the truck to the transmission, this wire runs from the
backup lights and you should be able to follow it back to the switch. Hope this is helpful.

Back up lights not working Where is switch to turn

Switch is on the transmission. Exact location depends on whether you have automatic or manual transmission. I have pasted pictures for each case below. Just look around the transmission for these parts. OK?
