First I suggest scanned the fault codes stored there; turn the ignition key (without start engine) "on/off on/off on" and read odometer codes Pxxxx. Note this codes and send us for other details.

Keep in touch.

My 96' grand cherokee will die randomly or wont start up that day, but will run just fine the next. I have already replaced the feul pump and filter, what else could be the problem?

it could be a bad pickup module or a bad EGR valve give these website a try www.alldatadiy.com and www.autozone.com if all Fails stop by your local library and get your hands on a Haynes auto repair manual for your Jeep wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

Yes I had the same problem. The wires that plug into the sensor at the catatytic converter were rubbing against the drive shaft untill they finally wore through causing the short against drive shaft. repaired wires and it fixed everything
