Hi I have a 1993 S-10 blazer 4x4, I am having a problem with something to do with my fuel. Sometimes in mornings I start it , It takes 3-4 tries before it starts. But after that its seens to do fine, I drive it and sometimes when I go up hills it starts acting like its not getting enough gas and starts sputtering and popping under hood, I can turn key off and restart it and it runs great after that, that always works until maybe next hill and it does it all over again. I have replaced the following. Fuel filter, plugs, wires , dist cap and rotor button , air filter , pressure regulator . Can anyone help me I cant afford to keep guessing to whats wrong with it. any appricaition will great.

My suspicion is a starter going bad. Sometimes when starters get old and worn they will start good when the engine is cold but not when the engine is warmed up. Did you perhaps notice that lately is seemed to drag when you tried starting, especially warm or it seemed to crank a little slower? I'd replace the starter. Hope this helps.
only half way there if you have a tbi check the crank sensor/ cam sensor that is the first line of business on that truck if the crankshaft sensor fails the truck stops dead when you wait a few minutes the sensor re energizes and the truck will work again for a bit antiknock can cause similer problems but not while the truck is running
try shooting some starting fluid in the air cleaner then try starting it this will tell you if it is a fuel problem or not.. if it starts sounds like your fuel pump is bad .. try this first this will let you know if it is a fuel problem or something else ..Thanks Jerry and holler if you need more.
spider type fuel delivery inside upper intake known to leak , and with repeated attempts to start , fuel gets into wherever gravity will allow , be sure to drain fuel soaked oil before attempt to start after repair and because fuel is in the exhaust , it might blow the muffler and melt the catalytic converter
i have a 1993 blazer 4.3 w code 4x4 with a 4L60 E . my truck wouldn;t go in 4 hi or low. so i changed the transfer case motor and it works fine now. If you turn the ignition key to on but not crank the engine and open the driver door and push 4 hi button, you should hear the transfer case motor cycle for 3 or 4 seconds every time you push button and the light will flash until it goes in 4wd If the 4 hi button light doesn't flash during cycle then it could be a bad switch. if the transfer case motor won't cycle it could be a fuse or a bad transfer case motor . Hope this answers your question. pgale89
