SOURCE: change headlight
I just got this done. You don't have to do anything under the hood. (i took too much apart. do not do that) remove the four philips screws from the wheel well covering. with the tire turned to the inside you can reach the seal cap at the rear of the head lamp housing. two clips hold the lamp housing into the electrical socket. use your thumb nails to spread the clips and pull the lamp housing out of the electrical socket.

I agree with the other fae90. Tried to remove the light assy, then I read his post and did it inside 20 minutes. Took me longer to put it all back again

from the bach, remove small cover then unplug connector, there should be a clip or a round holder twist holding ring in the counterclock wise direction and remove then plug back and light should come rite out, hope this helps.

Best method that I found is to just take the 6 phillips screws (4 in the well and 2 below the front bumper cover) out of the forward wheel well panel and reach in behind the panel to the headlight assembly.

All Saturn Outlooks require the removal of the headlight assembly to replaced the headlight bulb. Some of them can be replaced without removal, but it requires very small hands and long arms to be able to access the bulb. Saturn had an issue with headlight bulbs on the Outlooks that caused them to burn out early. The fix was to replace the wire harness for the headlamp assemblies. Might want to check with your local Saturn dealer (if they are still open), or the local GM dealer to see about the wire harness issue.
