SOURCE: 94 olds climate control blower will not shutoff with ignition off

REplace fan control module, purchase car repair book on your model and locate it. Common problem, fan could also oscillate in speed at times.

Check the blower motor connector first. Turn it on an wiggle connector. These will lose connection over time.

I would check the crankshaft and camshaft sensors. I don't think the connections are wrong, they really only go on 1 way.

1990 Delta 88 Royale Brougham. What would cause the the heater to turn on after the car has been started for more then 5 mins ?

Faulty shut of valve. Engine and water starts cold, after 5 minutes it is warming up. The heat 'off' control isn't working. It is a mechanical faucet, the heat is on all the time.

I have a 1989 Chrysler New Yorker. The previous owner had a problem with the heat and a/c. They installed a switch that blows cold air. I don't need cold air, I need heat.

Code 88 shows to not really mean any problems. Most of those years of cars have a small valve to control water flow. Make sure your heater core is getting water, and the fan runs. If not, check fuses and the control switches for heat/cool. With that switch they installed, wires may have been cut or spliced.

How much is a used 89 delta 88 worth with new brakes and 100 000 km on engine?

There are many factors that go into a cars value. You best bet to get the best ball park figure is to google search NADA blue book or Kelly Blue Book. These companies specialize in determining the value of vehicles and are the industry standard when it comes to car value.

Once you are on there site you will enter several key important pieces of information like engine size, 2 door or 4 door, Royal or brougham, sunroof, what power option, Etc. and then give you the approximate values.

Off the top of my head you could expect any where from $1000 to $2500 depending on the condition. New brake, tires, or other repairs make no difference on the value of the car. Those are things that needed to be done although they are good selling points.
