I know how ABS works, but what is this abnormal abs sound when I press the brake pedal also on dry asfalt. Sound becomes likely before vehicle stops.

This is the pump motor pulsing the pressure to each wheel at about a 100 times a second if your base brakes are in good condition and you have no abs light or codes stored in the system then this may be normal function

The air seeping is a dead giveaway. Your power brakes are now manual brakes, but stiffer. The diaphram in the brake booster has torn and the hissing noise is the engine vacuum escaping (you hear it louder when you depress the pedal right?). Replace the booster and you will be fine. The brake lights probably don't work because you can't push the pedal down far enought to release the switch. Please rate. Thanks.

You must have some issue with the master cylinder. May be leaking or internally bypassing. Check the fluid level? Look at the back side of the wheels for traces of fluid on the tire/rims.
When ABS is not working it is not supposed to cause the vehicle to not stop or the pedal to go to the floor. ABS not working will just make the brakes work as if they never had ABS and would lock under hard breaking.

I HAVE A 2004 AZTEK AND HAVE VIBRATION WHEN PRESSING GAS PEDAL. WHAT CAUSES THIS?

you don't say where the noise is. that is important to give a clue where the issue is. when stopping on the brakes 3 things happen. you press the pedal and the abs pump starts pumping fluid. the second is the brake capilers start pushing on the rotors to slow the car. the rotors are attached to the wheels and that stops the car. so if the rotors are warped you will feel a vibration in the steering wheel when stepping on the brakes. if its your foot feeling the pump working that is normal for abs pumping. you should feel it and holding the pedal will keep it working and stop you from skidding if everything is working correctly

id check your caliper to see if the piston is compressing all the way if not check your fluid it should be clean not brown or if you have been through large amounts of water if it has gotten into the brake system and check your bleeder valve to check if it has rotted or come lose or if you have a break in the lines or air, most likely your caliper is failing to compress.

reset the ERCM using a scan tool
while the brake pads looked fine , the rotors should be removed as that gives the same impression as the abs in operation
there could be a cracked rotor causing the noise
take it to an accredited brake specialist shop

Anti-lock brakes activate on dry pavement

First, is the ABS light on? Does it come on when it's doing it? Make sure the brake fluid is full, and the brakes are still servicable, ie, pads still have meat on them. If so, the abs control module or a speed sensor might be on the way out. This is a safety issue, and I would recommend getting the truck to a good mechanic to have it checked out.

Antilock brakes not funtioning properly on "hard" stops

Yes, I never did like ABS brakes because of this. What you have experienced is the ABS system working as it is designed to do. I know, it doesn't seem like you should still be moving after slamming on the brakes, but here is how it works;
When you apply a fast and hard pedal and the ground beneath you is wet the wheels stop at different times. There are sprockets mounted to the rear of the rotors, with magnetic sensors that monitor the wheel info. for all four wheels mounted next to the brake calipers. On a hard stop when the sensor detects one wheel stopping and another still going, these sensors send "pulses" to each wheel until the vehicle has stopped without the brakes having to lock up. The pulsiing is what you experienced and is a normal part of the ABS function.
Please rate this and let me know if it helped.
