Location of fusible link for alternator on 2003 Ford escape v6 4x4

There is no fusible link. Locate "Fuse B" 120 AMP located in the battery junction box located at front left corner of engine compartment. With engine off, key off, both sides of the fuse should measure +Battery Voltage. Reference negative post for testing.

sounds like you have a faulty ignition switch or a burnt fusible link(located on the right fender next to the battery).

1994 geo prism, fuse blew, I don't have manual

the only fuse for the starter is not located in the fuse box it is located in the positive wires that go to the starter its called a fusible link and when then amperage of the starter exceeds the fusible link rating the fusible link blows the link is usually located inthe positive wire to the starter and at some point fatter then the wire itself

2001 F250 Diesel. Truck cranks but wont start. Replaced fuel filter and still wont start

Look for a fusible link that has gone bad. If you are not familiar with this please read some before you explore. The 'fusible link' from a distance looks like any other wire but on close exam it is rubbery and some what stretchy as well. There are several wires coming from the solenoid so be careful and pull gently on each one until you find the one that feels stretchy. Try and find an obvious 'burn' area and or a total split in the line. I hope this helps.
Again be sure to read some on fusible links.

Here is a generic pic of some fusible links - so you know they look just like a regular wire but their sheath is different as in more stretchy :

Best of it.

Blowing 80 amp fusible link for Battery.

this link may help you guys. You'll have to check a few to find what you need but I suspect, if you can interpret the drawings, you'll narrow it down, otherwise take a copy to your mechanic, and it might help him.
