SOURCE: replace bulb ford focus

i have a 2003 st170 and to replace my bulbs you have to release the flaps on the back of the light by pushing the metal clip down. remove the cover completely.
on the bulb will be a metal clip i think if you push the end which will be towards the wing of the car down and then it will swing towards you and release the bulb.
remove bulb and replace with new.
try not to handle the bulb with your bare skin use a tissue to handle it with.
when fitting the new bulb make sure you get the groove in the bulb inline with the one in the housing this way the bulb will sit in the correct position its easy enough.

repeat for the opposite side... im not sure about your car but with the st170 you have to remove the battery in order to replace the drivers side bulbs.

i hope thats of some help to you.

SOURCE: zx5 2004 ford focus alternator broken

disconnect the battery & make sur you have your radio code, then remove the belt.
it's pretty simple there's a nut in the middle of the tensioner wheel, get the right size socket & using a ratchet, move the tensioner by locking the rathet & do or undo the nut, as it's a fixed nut used to swivel the tensioner.
Then undo the wiring on the back of the alternator, usually a click in multiplug and a + power cable boted on with a 10mm nut.
then remove anything in the way of the alternator securing bolts, & remove the bolt's, alternator should be free !
But I don't suggest you do it yourself unless you have a reasonable grasp of mechanics, as I have had to do this job properly after some people have tried themselves & they've made it worse, plus once the belt's off you have no power sterring so you can't drive it to the garage if you can't get the belt back on !

My focus 04 im finding very hard to get into 5th and reverse can anyone help please.

You may have a problem with the shift cable coming lose, have someone move the shifter back and forth and with the hood up look down at the engine next to batterie,You should be able to see the two cables, if the cable is pulling in and out you need a screw to retain nut back on and maybe use a wire tight hold it in place.

2003 ford focus slips from park to reverse without the car being on or using the push button on the shifter

There is a cable that runs from the shifter to the ignition switch. Either it has broken or someone disconnected it so they wouldn't have to replace a solenoid in the shifter or switch.

I have a 2004 ford explorer xlt the gear shift broke when i went to put it on drive...how is that possible???

hello! will try to assist! you may have a broken shifter cable.when you turn the key to 'on' or 'start' the shifter just moves sloppy,or easily. right? thats a sign of broken shifter cable.i have a 1994 explorer 4x4 there is a shifter cable to your transmission, sometimes they break. the cable will need to be replaced. you can purchase new or used, but if you're going to keep the truck, buy it new. the older fords had a metal linkage to the transmission, without the push button 4x4 option. the new ones have a cable shifter, just another way to get into our pocket book. try this with 2 people [for safety] put your emergency brake on,turn key switch on. have someone,or you, look under the driverside of truck up at the transmission shifter cable to see if it's moving on the side of the transmission.whoevers setting in the drivers seat will have to move the shifter from park to low, with the emergency brake on so the truck does'nt move or their foot on the brake, that works too. just make sure your safe as the truck cannot move while the person's shifting the gears while you look under the truck for shifter movement on the transmission.if no movement on the transmission while the gears are shifted, the cables broken. there,i went through the steps to insure your safety, and to give you a solution. just always be safe when you're under or around a vehicle that you're trying to repair.remember this always!the vehicle can be replaced, you can not! thank you for choosing fixya com and i look forward to assisting you in the future.

My 2003 Ford Focus LX with auto tranny won't shift out of park. The shifter moves from P to R to D etc, but it has lost its resistance, it simply slides very easily now. The car is stuck in park. Could...

Open the hood and look for the cable going to the transmission, this will take two people and BE CAREFUL!
If there is a bellcrank on the end of the cable you may be able to move the if you release the mounting bolt that holds the cable. If there is no bellcrank and the cable goes directly into the tranny you may have to cut the cable, Not easy in the parking lot! The shifter will have to be in neutral to start and allow for steering..... Beyond this is a tow

I have a 2003 LR Ford Focus Manual 1.8. While driving and changing gears, I lost all gears the car is is neutral with no feeling of selecting any gears.

sounds like your shifter cable came off at the transmission or the cable is broke. You hould be able to see the cable on top of the trans. Have some try to shift while you see if the cable moves.
