SOURCE: I have oil leaking from

on line, auto zone has a o ring for oil cooler at a reasonable cost. if the cooler is contaminated or corroded it needs replaced. if you need one, go online for the best deal. for it cools the oil for the engine. let them know at auto zone, and they should be able to advise you. car dealerships are a big ripoff. a fan blows air on engine oil cooler for disipation off heat. this is important to regulate the tempurature of the oil. have a very good day !!

I have a 2008 Nissan Altima and I took it today to have any oil change. I was told that I have a "bad oil cooler". I am female and I have very little knowledge of a cars structure unfortunately. What...

This sounds kind of odd. Most cars don't have an oil cooler. Usually trucks (especially with towing package) have an oil cooler. If the car is an automatic then you have a cooler for the transmission "oil" but it is usually part of the radiator. I would look around on line and first see if you can find a Nissan site that mentions this vehicle having an oil cooler. Unless your car is leaking oil or oil pressure reads way off center (if you have oil gauge in dash) I would be thinking you are not getting a correct answer. If car shows no major issue with oil I wouldn't be spending money on fixing an "oil" issue. Especially if car did not come with a dedicated oil cooler.

I have a Titan 2008 pickup and oil is in my radiator. What happened? What could of caused the oil to go to the radiator?

Bad transmission oil cooler, in radiator. Install a new radiator. Not one from a dealer. Hope your trans is not shot. All 2nd generation frontiers, pathfinders from 2005 to 2007 or 8 have that problem, and all end up with ruined trans, and Nissan won't help you.

Not all coolers look like radiators. I wouldn't think it should cost that much. Try somewhere else.
