Bad Stepper motors....the motors in your cluster are very weak... there is an upgraded motor x 25-168...cost 175.00 parts and labor to replace all of them. Ive repaired a lot of clusters with this very problem

On my 2003 Chevrolet avalanche Z66 all my dash gauges stopped working my battery gauge is way past the 19 amp Mark and all the dash lights flicker even when truck is not running with the key out

This era of dash clusters is notorious for trouble, the problem lies in the lead free solder they used. It actually will migrate from one circuit to another, shorting it out and making it go haywire. There are 2 companies that I know of that repair them. They are and United Radio Supply. I had circuitboardmedics do mine about 3 years ago, has worked fantastic, with the LED and trans temp upgrades.

I have a 2003 Chevy Impala my temperature gauge and my gas gauge will not come on my fans will not come on it says low fuel and I just put gas in but the temperature gauge will not move service light comes...

It's a typical problem with all GM vehicles, each gauge in the dash is run by a step motor now, they fail all the time. there are places you can send your dash out to be repaired. but you must make sure they don't mess up your mileage.

Why won't truck stay running. Altenator bench tested good, but running test was low amps. Starter tested bad and replaced as well as corroded negative battery cable.

Your bad cable may have prevented the battery from being charged up good. Put a battery charger on it, or replace it if over 4 years old.

So the problem is it starts and then dies? How many amps did the alternator show? Was it enough to run all power circuits and charge the battery as well? That could be a concern. It is possible you have a bad ignition switch, but first check the fuse for the gauges in the instrument panel fuse block-it may be labeled "gauges" or "meter". The fuse should get power with key on, and then power is sent to the gauges on the dash. Without a voltmeter to test for power coming out of the switch, it's kind of a guessing game. If power is not getting to the gauges, it may also not be going elsewhere out of the switch.

Any issue with a security or theft alarm light staying on? That would disable the engine from running. Post back with year, make, model, and engine size. Maybe I could look at a wiring diagram for further help.

I hit a bump and all dash went out speedometer gas rpm temp but boost gauge still works. what could that be?

Sounds like it could be a grounding issue. Check for loose wiring that is bolted directly to the frame, body, or firewall components. Is the light on your boost gauge working? Or is your gauge just reading vacuum/boost without the light?

2004 Impala ls temperature dash gauge

fans came late on those car, like 212 and second fan comes on at 224,you reprogram it to come a lot sooner,,other thing is there might be gunk inside the block, and coolant has hard time to pass through, and staying longer than enough in block temp goes high, even tough the radiator is doing it's job,it is just coming out block lot hotter than it suppose to be,and gauge read the block not the radiator

Dash lihgts will not illuminite . Dash lights worked intermittently for awhile , but will not come on at all

Well.... other than GMC, I have no idea what kind of vehicle we are talking about. YEAR, MODEL, ENGINE SIZE, TRANSMISSION (auto or standard) and 4X4 or 2-Wheel Drive would be helpful in MOST cases if you are wanting specific information for your vehicle.

With all of that said, I can only tell you that I have seen several GMC models that have had bad solder connections at the wiring connector socket where it is soldered to the instrument cluster printed circuit. It usually starts out as an intermittent problem and gradually gets worse until things quit working all together. This can affect dash lights, gauges, warning lamps, turn signal indicator lights, etc., etc.

This could also be caused by a defective headlamp switch depending on which model and year we are talking about. Other models have dimmer switches that are separate from the headlamp switch for the dash lights. These can also fail and cause the symptoms you are describing.
