Either your fuel filter or fuel pump is clogged from all the debris from the gas tank , you are going to have to change out the filter or empty your gas tank and pull your fuel pump out and change your filter on your pump out.

Try removing your A.I.S. (automatic idle speed) motor, and clean the plunger, and port that the plunger goes into with throttle body cleaner or similar. Quite often this gets gummed up & sticky and will cause it to stall or idle down real low, especially when a load on engine, such as AC on, turning, etc. The purpose of this part is to step-up the idle, automatically when those conditions occur. If it shows improvement, for a while, then starts doing it again, I'd put a new one on.

Have you had the ignition switch changed? If the ignition switch is faulty you can have issues getting the car to turn over. Also when driving the car can just shut off. The contacts in the ignition switch just wear out over time. It's a good place to start looking.

2000 Dodge stratus - runs ok but at times will "chug" or misfire driving down highway - think its an electrical issue as it will almost "act up" when using cruise, turn signals, air conditioning, etc.

check the vacuum lines for leaks first, since the cruise uses vacuum to pull on the gas pedal, and ac controls use vacuum to work the baffle doors in the ductwork..then start looking for loose connections on these 3 itemsrepost findings

I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus with a 4 cylender, I turned the key on and off three times and the code that came up is 456, could you tell me what that code is telling me what is wrong with my car

Evap emission control system leak, very small. You could have left the gas cap loose. Got gas and left the car running. Make sure the cap is tight. turn it 3 clicks. The light will go out if that was the problem. It takes so many key on's to remove the light. 50 I think

1998 Dodge stratus ran out of gas - filled tank but car won't start now

I had the same problem with my 98 Stratus.....i ran out of gas and wouldn't start afterwards....checked the pump because i thought maybe it overheated due to running without fuel in it to cool it.......but that wasn't it.....It turned out that the crud in the bottom of the tank went and plugged the fuel filter up.....changed the filter and voila......it's good as new.....hope this helps you out.... =-)

My 2002 dodge stratus is acting like it is missing out or spuddering. I have changed the spark plugs and after doing so it ran really well for awhile then started doing the same thing again?

You may have a bad coil pack. They are located on top of the spark plugs. If a coil pack is bad then if will miss as well as you could loose gas milage and performance.

Ran my 96 stratus out of gas , wont start ever sence

The IGN. KEY Must be CYCLED 6-8 times ON THEN OFF So as NOT to START it but to Allow the Fuel PUMP to PRIME the Fuel Lines,
This should Allow the Fuel to get to Injectors, and Start Engine.

Ran out of gas in my Dodge Stratus 06- now it won't start. What should I do?

there may a sensor for the gasoline levels in your car that will shut off your fuel pump, there may be a reset button on the passanger floorboard, do you here any sound from the fuel pump when you just turn the key to on position but don't try to start?
