I have a 94 d21 Nissan and it sounds like its going into gear but will not pull at all why

If it is a manual transmission, then it could be your slave cylinder.Check your clutch fluid,if low or out then your slave cylinder is leaking and not holding pressure.I have a 85 Nissan 720 4x4 with the 2.4 engine, replaced mine a few times, you can just add fluid and bleed it to get you home. Here's a link on how to replace, you didn't state if you have the 2.4 or 3.0 engine, here's another link on the part.Autozone sells a one man bleeder kit for about 8 bucks,I have one,the cylinder is located on the side of the transmission, easy to replace. What is the brake bleeding sequence on a 2008 malibu ltz?

the best way to bleed a hydraulic braking system is to use a pressure bleeder to pressurise from the master cylinder and start at the caliper/cylinder furthest away from the master cylinder ie the one further away with the longest pipework and go around the car in order of pipework length. you can use the old fashioned way by getting someone to press the brake pedal and pump it out whilst you use a bleed tube and bottle but you may run risk of damaging the master cyl if its worn. so you can work out the sequence by looking at the hydraulic layout.hope this helps

Could be your clutch slave cylinder is bad, check your clutch fluid,if real low or empty then it is bad,it's located on the side of the transmission with a hydraulic hose connected to it,I have a 85 Nissan 720 4x4 5- speed, had to replace mine a few times. Here's a link on how to do. Hi, you probably have air in the hydraulic line. Check the clutch hydraulic reservoir (next to the brake reservoir)--is it empty? If yes, refill and look for a leak. Repair the leak and bleed the system to restore pedal pressure. If you need instruction for replacing components or bleeding, please let me know.

Clutch won't engage--cannot shift

hydraulic clutch needs servicing or needs bleeding like a brake system wont work with air in the lines neither will hydraulic clutch's. you shouldnt have to change the clutch just service the slave cylinder ,that should give you back some pedal to use..you might want a mechanic to bleed it or have it replaced.

GEARBOX WONT GO INTO GEAR

hi from uk could you please give a little more info ? what make/model car ? has this problem occured suddenly? has car been layed up off road some time prior to this unable to select gears ? this problem sounds very much like the clutch drive plate is either stuck to flywheel hence question above ? or it is sticking on primary/spigot shaft for some reason and failing to disengage drive to g/box? how does clutch pedal feel ? you might try selecting 2nd gear with clutch fully pressed and h/brake on then try starting engine if engine starts ?runs then put slight revs on and slip clutch a few times this may work if plate is sticking? if you come back with update may be able to advise further
