SOURCE: Fuel Pump

IF YOU USED STARTING FLUID THEN FUEL IS GETTING TO THE ENGINE, CHECK THE TIMING BELT AND IF THAT IS OK CHECK AT THE SPARKPLUGS TO SEE IF YOU HAVE SPARK.

SOURCE: im trying to che ck the fuel pump under the hood

You should have a shrader valve that you can hook up a gauge to. If you dont then even if you have pressure by opening a line you wont know if its enough. . Also if you find the shrader, should have a cap on it, cycle the key and then push the shrader in. If no squirt then the pump isnt working. It may be a bad pump or it may have lost its power source. Could be a fuse or broken wire somewhere

My 200 dodge stratus was running fine i shut it of and when i tryed to restart it it acts like it is out of gas

Dodge fuel pumps are notorious for going out without any warning. I would suggest that you check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail and if no fuel..check the fuel relay and then the fuel pump replacement. I would process of eliminate in that order.

You can check under the seat of the Stratus for an access point. But unfortunately I don't think there is door. You are going to be pulling out the tank.

2000 dodge stratus turns but wont start, checked timing belt, fuel pump distributer and fuses. Any other suggestions?

You need to check to see if it's a fuel problem or an electrical problem. Is there adequate spark at the plugs? If so, check for fuel problems. Clogged filter, bad fuel pump, bad gas.. Get car scanned for codes at most parts stores for free. Could be a CPS crank position sensor or cam position sensor. If crank sensor is bad, will not start. Get codes checked first.
