Hi,

My name is Ben and I'm your guru, i.e., mentor, an influential teacher or popular expert: a management guru. - origin from Sanskrit, 'weighty, grave' for today.

Query: I'm trying to find crank sensor for 2000 dodge stratus 2.4,where is it located on motor

Response: On the passenger side of the engine. You'll have to go under the car and look for the harmonic balancer -- located on the end of the crankshaft and you should see it.It has 1 screw and it is on the engine under the passenger side under the tire by the bottom pulley.

All the best,

Ben

We are having a problem figuring out where to replace the motor mount brackets on our 2000 Dodge Stratus does anyone have a pictue that we can go by

You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual. This site has many great diagrams with step by step directions. You should be able to see the old motor mounts on each side of the motor. Replace the new ones in same place. You will have to lift up the motor to gain access.

I drained gas tank and replaced fuel pump on 2000 dodge stratus. should'nt 2 gallons of gas be enough to crank it?

should be, do you hear the pump running when trying to start? or it should run about 2 seconds when you first turn the key on. have someone feel the tank, it may be hard to hear. it it does not run, found out why.

2000 Dodge Stratus misses, or hesitates, when going up a hill or when at a stop and you have to let off the gas and then push it again to get it to go. In the winter, i smelled a sickly sweet smell wh

Heater core is a possibility, and monitoring your coolant level closely should tell you if it is leaking as level will go down. As far as hesitation goes, if check engine light comes on, a trip to autozone or Pep boys for a free trouble code scan, should point everyone in right direction rather than replacing parts by guessing. (much cheaper that way too)

Engine sputters when giving gas, has a hard time accelerating

Have the cam sensor and/or crankshaft sensor checked. They could be going bad.
