SOURCE: I need to know correct location for relays as they are mounted above fuses. 98 jetta gls

Hi - I don't know the answer off hand but there is just a chance you could do a Sherlock Holmes job yourself, because many of the relays have unique pin layouts and cannot fit into the wrong place. The numbers may be misleading - on my Sharan some of the relays have numbers which are sideways or upside down when correctly installed! If you find that one relay will go into more than one socket, or more than one relay will go into one socket then you will need further help, but if there is, say, a five pin relay and only one five pin socket, it's got to be right, hasn't it?
If these suggestions do help you solve the problem, please give my reply a rating to help others judge my knowledge / guessing skills. If they do not, please add a comment with more details so I can try to help you further. Cheers, D
.

SOURCE: location of fuse box on a 99 VW Jetta

There are two or three fuse/circut breaker panels on your car, depending on the model. One on the left end of the dash, mostly interior fuses in this one. The other two are located under the hood, on the drivers side, behind the headlight. This is where you will find most of the system fuses, circuit breakers and relays. Hope this helped!

How to replace a fan relay on a 99 plymouth voyager?

The fan fuse in the 99 Voyager is located in the
under-dash "Power Distribution Center" - the fan fuse is #24 (40Amps - Orange).

How to replace a relay: pull the old one out, then correctly orient and insert the new one.
Its almost impossible to make an orientation mistake, since relays generally can only be
inserted one way (they're deliberately designed to be impossible to insert incorrectly).

Flashers are located either on the bottom of the fuse block or on a module under the dashboard (instrument panel). They are replaced by simply pulling them straight out. Note that the prongs are arranged in such a way that the flasher must be properly oriented before attempting to install it. Turn the flasher until the orientation of the prongs is correct and simply push it firmly in until the prongs are fully engaged.

The 99 Voyager "Power Distribution Center" is located:
Front seating area, driver side, under dash -- see photo below.

How do you know where the fuses go too in a Jetta 2000?

This is probably an a/c,heater relay,or fuse, usually located under the hood , in a covered fuse box. Check your vehicles owners manual for the exact location of your fuse panels. There are probably 2 boxs in your car, one under the hood, and one in or under your dashboard.Usually heater and A/C are on the same relay, but may have seperate fuses, check them all. your manual will show the locations. good luck

No turn signals or hazard lights

Check the FLASHER, also can review the Fuses, located inside the passenger compartment, under the drivers-side of the instrument panel.

Both the turn signal flasher and the hazard warning flasher are mounted on the fuse panel on the truck. To gain access to the fuse panel, remove the cover from the lower edge of the instrument panel below the steering column. First remove the two fasteners from the lower edge of the cover. Then pull the cover downward until the spring clips disengage from the instrument panel.

The turn signal flasher unit is mounted on the front of the fuse panel, and the hazard warning flasher is mounted on the rear of the fuse panel.

To access the fuses, remove the fuse panel cover. Note the spare fuses (A) and provided fuse puller tool

Fuse panel and power distribution box identification for 1995-99 Explorer/Mountaineer models-Part 3

Power Distribution Box
Located under the hood, in the engine compartment. It houses the fuses and relays for most of the under hood components which are not controlled by a dash mounted switch (such as the alternator, fuel pump, ECM, etc.). The fuses and relays are replaced in the same manner as the fuse panel inside the vehicle. The power distribution box cover is hinged on one end and utilizes a retaining latch on the other. Simply release the latch and lift the cover up to gain access to the fuses and relays.

Hope helped with this; remember rated this help. Good luck.

on most newer cars the fuse block is under rhe hood on one of the fenders. google autorepair for a DIY website autzone has a realy good one that has great info on the electricalsystem. but it is not the fuse it's a little thin called a flasher relay that seems to be your problem. the flasher relay on a saturn is available at most autoparts stores and some might help you locate it and put it in for free.

Vw golf 1994 indicators

Hi,

Most Golf and Jetta have their relays bunched together with the fuse block. Often, it would be inside the fuse box/compartment located under the facia panel, on the right-hand side, behind a removable cover. On most models, the flasher relay would be labeled 21.

Incidentally, sometime ago, there was a recall on some Golf where Volkswagen dealers will install a new hazard flasher switch/relay kit to remedy a common issue. You may want to try first Volkswagen at 1-800-822-8987.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
