Question about 1992 Buick LeSabre
Tried multiple keys but will not turn, no problems past, tried wiggling
steering and moved tilt but can not turn the key, wet frozen roads last
nite, but how would that have any effect. any ideas?? tried heating the key.
I have a 1992 Buick LeSabre and I went to start my car and the ignition key would not start the car. I notice that the steering column was locked too. I tried turning the key and the steering column but it didn't work. Any other suggestions.
Hi arthajordan, I will take a shot at this one, if you look at your front wheels they are probably turned, If they are turned you need to turn the steering wheel as much as you can, I realize you have wiggled the wheel and the column is locked but you should be able to turn it a little. With it turned and pressure from you turning the wheel try to turn the key. This is just a shot in the dark but I think it will work. Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. lone99star

Bad ignition switch. I fixed a problem like that with a 1999 Toyota Sienna. The cylinder is broken in internally. Need the replace tumbler, (just the key part not the electrical part) However it may be hard to get by itself. Good Luck
