Question about Chevrolet Monte Carlo
My abs light and brake ligts are on the brake fluid leverl is good i checked the abs relay it had the green corosin so i cleaned it up and put the relay back in and the abs and brake lights are still on i dont have a scanner but like in the vehicles from the 80's is there a way i could just use a paper clip to see what the codes are

yo man, idk if this is exactly what your problem is but my 1991 gmc sierra was doing the same fuckin thing and ****, and i took it to the gm dealer and had them look at it and my connectors and my ignition switchs were fried, also my truck was having a problem shitfing once those went but i also had that problem, perhaps yours is somehwta liek that as well... hope i could help

hi there, you see todays cars are so emmision friendly that not even the vapors from your tank can be released into the atmosphere so what they have done is all your vapors are put into a charcoal canister to absorb the vapors and the next time you start the car it has a purge solenoid open and burn the vapors off. if you look around the intake youll see a hose with a green cap follow it back to the charcoal canister and while your doing that just check the hoses and the hoses around the canister to make sure there is no holes or cracks in them and then follow the hose from the canister to the gas tank. if every thing looks good then i would replace the purge solenoid.

No. What you can do is look for one of the abs sensors that is either disconnected at the wheel hub or use an ohm meter on the connections to test the resistance. If you find one with OL, that is a short and look for a broken wire.
