DO NOT TURN IT ON AGAIN YOU WILL RUIN THE MOTOR IF YOU CONTINUE TO OVERHEAT IT!! It's overheating. The reason could be many but with the other symptoms you said it sounds to me like your main belt the serpentine belt is gone. It could also be your water pump, thermostat, Or even just a fan switch. Where do you live? Is it hot all year round? I'm new to this forum so I'm a little bit scared to do this but if you want to call me and give me the symptoms I can probably tell you what it is, And give you advice on how to proceed. 302-753-7328. My name is William Davies.

Air in cooling system

Its not an air bubble Irene, The insulation to the heater core is very minimal. The sound is the flow of coolant going through and coming out the other pipe. You will here it most when your engine is given gas, Which speeds up the water pump.

Ford focus 2003 temperature gauge jumps to red

Check the operation of your thermostat.
Check that the radiator is filled with fluid and that there are no bubbles in the system (this should only be as a result of a radiator re-fill).
Check that the radiator fan comes on as the gauge needle moves over half way and into the red.

Sounds like your water pump has seized or the belt is slipping so bad that its over heating and forcing water out of the radiator

Audi A3 2002 model auto - temperature gauge not working

The guage and fan speeds work on independant sensors. If you can remove the plastic engine cover and locate the "sending unit" for the gauge disconnect it and restart the engine. The gauge should remain cold and not move. If this is the case replace the sending unit. This should be a single wire sender located in the waterjacket of the intake manifold look in the area where the upper rad hose enters the intake.

04' Passat Overheating

Hi!
It appears we have an Air lock scenario and you will need to perform a system Bleed.
Park the vehicle on level ground, when cold remove coolant filler cap, start engine and leave to idle, turn heater on full and blower to max. When engine reaches operating temperature watch and listen near coolant filler, keep clear as gurgling and hopefully a boil over should occur. Top up with very warm coolant and wait as it may do it again.
Check for heat inside vehicle if warm replace coolant cap but keep an eye on temperature gauge as the ~Air lock may have moved on from heater matrix/core so proceedure needs to be carried out again from COLD.
If persistent boil ups/over attention must made in the cylinder head
or gasket area, or possibly water pump?
