Question about 1998 Isuzu Trooper
I have a 1998 Isuszu Trooper. The engine light is on. Last night the engine light was blinking on and off. This morning I noticed that when I come to a stop or ease up off the brake it starts shaking as if it is going to stall.
Hmm...I suspect you have an injector problem. The injector connectors are inside the crankcasing, and as such are constantly sprayed with oil It is possible that a seal on a connector has gone, or a connector isnt clipped properly. This gives both the engine fault light and the 'shaking' which is the car running on three cylinders...the 3.0 engine is surprisingly good at running on three cylinders...
Either take off the turbo, insulation jacket, coolant pipe and crankcase and clean the connectors & refit, or go find a mechanic! The job is quite an involved one that needs much confidence...
