it sounds like the ecm is picking up a low fluid level and going into self protect mode also known as limp in mode.. the problem you describe is typical of a vehical that is either low on coolant or low on oil. when the ecm senses a low coolant or oil level it will shut the engine down to keep it from damage. I f the levels are ok this would mean that there is a parameter issue within the ecm. my suggestion would be to have a diagnostic scan done on your vehicle. the ecm most likely will have active codes stored. this will give you a starting point as to how to repair the fault. do yourself a favor take it to a small independant shop and not a dealership. this will save you money on the labor costs alone. please rate the solution.....thanks

LOOK UP LEMON LAWS FOR YOUR STATE. You should NOT have to pay to fix ANY of that within the first couple of months. Afraid this answer is too late for you, but maybe will help others!
