The only thing that is left for you to do is to remove the stereo and then disassemble it and remove it yourself. A little daunting but needs to be done. Sounds like it went in wrong and then became jammed

When you say the pan will not drop down do you mean that it is still stuck to the block. If that is the case manufacturers use a gasket material ( sealer that is an adhesive to glue the pan to the block and so reduce oil leaks at the gasket. You may have to use something like a paint scaper and a hammer to cut the gasket free..

2002 land rover discovery oil pan removal?

Your problem is that now, the gasket glue is the only thing holding it . Use a SOFT hammer, rubber preferably, and tap the pan where it meets the engine. Once loosened, GENTLY pry it away from the engine , moving down and around the outside, using a wide flat screwdriver. It will drain fluid as soon as it starts to give, be ready for it.Leave two bolts, positioned on two adjacent corners in, loosely, so the entire pan doesn't fall away, spilling fluid everywhere. Good luck !

How do you remove the oil pan from a buick rendevous 2002. Have all bolts removed but oil pan is still up. How do you remove so you could take old gasket off and put new one on.

It's not uncommon for the oil pan to get stuck. This usually happens if the gasket was not put on correctly and gunk gummed up the seal, essentially gluing it in place. Use a small nylon, wood or leather covered hammer and tap around edge of pan. (use a lot of light taps to avoid denting the pan). Continue tapping until oil pan comes free. Don't try to pry off as this will deform the pan causing an uncontrollable oil leak.

I hit a rock with my 07 HHR, it put a gash in the oil pan. I am trying to remove the oil pan but it won't budge. I have taken all of the bolts out and it still won't budge. How do I remove the oil pan?

Take a second look to make sure you have all bolts removed. Take a large rubber hammer and give it a few hits on all 4 corners. This should dislodge it. If not you will have to pry it loose going all around the outside edge. It is stuck due to the sealant they use at the factory.

Hi there, i am trying to remove my oil pan but it is stuck. All bolts are removed, i drive a 1996 chevy siiverado 1500 with a V6 4.3L

First be absolutely sure that all the bolts are removed. Then tap with a rubber mallet or a block of wood and hammer, be careful not to dent your pan. If this doesn't work, try to to carefully drive a small chisel between pan and engine block and work your way around to different places (again be careful not to force the issue and bend your pan). Sometimes the gasket sealant that is used is very strong and requires some persuasion to break loose.

How do i remove the transmission pan on my 1999 chevy silverado?

First you have to get break all your knuckles trying to get the shift linkage out, to do that there is two T40 Torx screws on the top side of the oil pan (driver side) second you have to manage to get the drain plug, easier said then done. The pieces of **** at chevy torque it down to like a 100 ft poulds. Better go get a new plug before you even start, its about 8 bucks. Then remove the 20 or so bolts holding the pan up... Your life is made easier if you remove the drive shaft (4x4) which unless you are magic you must remove the exaust pipe.... All and all its not a fun job... it pretty much sucks. Once all is out you can remove the fluid filter, make sure you remove the O'ring as well.... Then put it all together.... its way easier said then done... When ur finished add on to your to do list to "Punch a Chevy engineer in the face."
