Question about 1999 Volkswagen Beetle
My beetle over heated and blew a hole out the top of the radiator and it ran out of coolent. i didnt relize it had happened and it was out in drive running while i was in the house and had died. I had to get it over the garage so i could work on it i add coolent and it start and ran smooth and shifted good. I pulled the radiator today and ordered a new one. Its not leaking oil or anything just wanting to make sure it didnt damage anything else.
Put good radiator an a new thermostat .Iet it warm up to normal temp .make sure the fans run an check hoses and engine block for leaks. It should be fine. The thermostat most have got stuck.
