Car over heated and blew out radiator fluid

If you are asking why, it could have been a sticking thermostat.
Which could happen again.

Jeep ran out of gas wont start now

low oil on some models will stop it from starting however I would say you have a fuel filter stoped up this happens sometimes when you run a car out of gas they pick up trash,

Car heating up coolent boiling fan comes on ''no coolent in the oil 2.4 1997 sunfire were and how hard is it to change the thermasta

the thermostat is in the housing where the top radiator hose goes onto the motor, it isn't that difficult to replace all you have to do is remove the top hose from the housing,undo the bolts take the housing apart remove the thermostat & clean both surfaces with a suitable scraper or sand paper,fit the new thermostat then the new gasket & put the housing back together & refit the top radiator hose.
a couple of things to careful of : 1. DO NOT try to force the bolts to much as they may break 2. DO NOT over tighten the bolts when tightening......hope this helps......cheers

My car over heats, but i get no warning lights on my dash. i have coolent and oil, but i still over heat.

Hi,

If there are no dashboard/warning indicators in an overheating situation, then the coolant thermal sensor is faulty and needs replacement.

A few things you can try to reduce overheating:
  • remove altogether the thermostat (not applicable in cold weather);
  • hotwire the radiator fan to be always on when engine is running;
  • check the: radiator hoses, radiator, water pump.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
