SOURCE: 2000 buick lesabre stall after starting or after running for 30 minutes

I have a 1996 Lesabre. I had a similar problem that slowly got worse. I brought it to two different mechanics that did diagnostic checks and could only "suggest" what to replace to fix the problem. Their problem was that it wouldnt stall out while they had the mv. After replacing a bunch of sensors and the fuel pump/ filter, I solved the problem by replacing the Crank Sensor. Its located behind the lower crank pulley on the 3.8 lt motor. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: 2000 Buick Lesabre custom liscense plate bulb

kind of tricky, took me an hour to get it figured out, but you got to opend the trunk and take out the 10 or so 10mm nuts sticking out of the backside of the lid, then the whole solid piece where the lights are on the back will slide off, then you can change the bulbs above the license plate and put it all back together

On my 1995 buick lesabra my voltage light and my bettary light stays on together

sounds like the alternator has failed. If you charge up the battery and get it running long enough you should be able to check power at the battery. you should see more than 14 volts with the engine running. also check to make sure there is battery voltage at the large wire on the back of the alternator. If both of these check out than a new alternator shoould solve your prioblem.

LOW VOLT IN THE 12 VOLT RANGE

most charging systems run between 14.5 and 16 volts if the regulator is working fine..battery voltage only means that the alternator is not working or the rpms are too low for it to properly produce power..have it checked for free at autozone or most any parts store for free..

Voltage regulator 2003 buick lesabre

The voltage regulator is inside the alternator.
So if the alternator is good as you say, the regulator is too.
I suggested you check the wiring on the car.

Altenator not charging

Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running. Should be 14 volts or more. If not then the alternator needs repairs or the wiring from it to the battery is faulty.

1991 buick lesabre. My son said he ran throw a puddle of water and the volt and temp lights are on and its very difficult to steer. What could this be?

Volt light on indicate the altenator is not charging the battery the temp light means it's over heating and difficult steering means the power steering isn't working properly.
Common to all of these would be your serpentine belt which drives all of these items. have it replaced

The dealer repair shop for my 2000 Jaguar XK8 said I have a grounding problem causing my car not to charge properly. The conections on the battery checked ok and the braided ground cable checked ok to the...

Check to see if you have a ground cable from the battery to the engine block. Then using a volt meter check the voltage coming from the altenator to the battery. Voltage should be 14-15 volts. There again the engine needs a solid ground from the battery. With ground attached to engine and you tested it and found that the voltage was not as i described then the altenator is at fault. Be sure the radio and a/c is turned off during test. hope this will help you.

93 Buick LeSabre. Battery not charging

use a volt meter while the car is running to check the main wire or large red wire coming off the back of the alternator it should read a steady 14 volts, the volt meter must be set at dc 10 amp settings, ground the black wire to ground or a metal surface some where on the car and touch the red probe wire on the volt meter to the main terminal of the alternator as i said it should read a constant 14 volts if it doesn't the alternator is bad.

Elec problem between alternator and battery

Rest at ease the 14 volts will not hurt your system idealy your alt will charge at around 14 to 14,5 volts at the alternator and probably have a slightly lower charge rate at your battery at around 14 to 13.5 at the battery this is completely normal

Low volts light stays on

new altenator or junkyard one.if new return it, if junkyard just ignore light as its odds on they will not change it .the red light is caused by the difference in the voltage between input and output voltages .Quick test --start engine and run at 1500rpm disconnect battery and turn everything electrical on and if engine stops then change altenator if it stays running then altenator is OK
