SOURCE: Need diagram for 1998 Jeep

hi, you didn't say what engine you have, I'll assume it's the 4.0 L in line 6 cylinder. Standing on the PASSENGER side of the jeep, the spark plug at the front of the engine is #1, the next is #2, and so on to #6 which is at the back (nearest the windshield).
The distributor is between you and the valve cover on the engine. Pretend the top of the distributor cap is the face of a clock.
The #1 spark plug wire goes in the cap at what would be the 6 o'clock position, (as viewed from your position standing on the passenger side, facing the side of the engine). The firing order direction is clockwise, so the 'hand' of the clock (actually the rotor in the cap) would continue to the next distributor cap plug in, which would be spark plug wire to #5 (8 o'clock position), then #3 (10 o'clock position), #6 (12 o'clock position), #2 (2 o'clock position), #4 (4 o'clock position). So all this means isi your firing order is, 1,5,3,6,2,4 If you have a different motor or any questions, let me know. Good Luck! countrycurt0

On my 1993 wrangler with a 2 5 if i try to start it it only fires on cylinder 1 and 3 if i shut it off and try again it fires only on 2 and 4 what would cause this

Sounds like a spark plug or distributor problem.... Change out all your spark plugs and check your wires for breaks. Check fuel injectors for build-up.

I was driving my 1993 Jeep and it turn off will turn over but won't what could it be ?

Check for blown fuses. You need to find out if it is getting fuel and spark. To check for fuel, crank the engine for about 10 seconds, Remove a spark plug. If the plug is wet and smells like gasoline, then the fuel is ok. It the plug is dry, then you are not getting fuel. While you have the plug out, reattach the spark plug wire to the plug, lay the plug down somewhere on the engine so you can see it when you crank the starter. If your getting spark, there will be a spark jumping between the electrodes on the end of the spark plug as you crank the starter. Let me know what you find and we will try to find out what the problem is.

I need picture of the correct order in which the spark plug wires from the distributor runs to the engine of a 97 jeep wrangler 4.0

straight six engine ,153624 firing order i know no2 and no4 leads have a sort of loop on the jeep engine and i should imagine this is the same on this model ,if you dont know where no one is then remove the rocker cover and turn engine over till the valves on no1 are closed and remove the plug to make sure piston is at top ,then you have the position on the distributor cap where no1 is ,lift cap and see where the rotor arm points too ,then this is no1 .then clockwise rotation the next hole is no5 and so on

The fuel pump doesnt come on and there is no spark.....

Check for the fuse for the fuel pump and the relay. Other than that it may be a wiring issue or a computer module issue.

Need fog light installation instructions

Stop by your local Jeep dealership and ask teh service tech to go over the schematic and wiring diagram with you.
Most Jeep service depts. are quite helpful and won't charge you for knowledge.
Then head over to NAPA and get the parts for cheap.
If you are restoring to factory specs for show car purposes, you should get the MOPAR parts right from the dealer.
Most of the time the Jeep Wranglers have the wiring already in place, you just have to know where to look for the unused plug. At least that's how it is with my 2007 JKL Rubicon.
