SOURCE: 96 bluebird le grand tail light fuse keeps blowing?

Anytime a fuse constantly blows, you either have a short in your wireing for that components circuit or the component itself is faulty. Inspect the wiring harnesses for each taillamp assembly and ensure no wires are damaged or loose. Also inspect wiring at the fuse box.

SOURCE: tail light fuse keeps blowing

Terry: It's obvious I'm not dealing with a USA spec car, however, I had lived in the U.S. Virgin Islands and am quite familiar with the Bluebirds of the past. Nissan still uses the same basic circuitry designs as far as what circuits serve what. Here are the circuits to look at.
All lights which are switched on by the headlight switch. This includes the Cigarette lighter back light, radio light power supply, automatics have shifter back lighting as well as your climate controls and all dash lights. Your side marker lights are also served by this circuit. The dash lights go through a type of dimmer switch which essentially creates resistance, thus dimming the lights. Sometimes the clocks are tied into the circuits. Start with the simple things first and work your way in. There is a type of fuse called a circuit breaker which will plug into the fuse block in place of the fuse.
Get the same rating as the one you pulled out. DO NOT USE A JUMPER WIRE AND LET THE SMOKE OUT OF THE WIRES!
If the circuit breaker blows immediately, you have a serious short!
With the circuit breaker, if the short is not real bad, the lights will burn for a little bit before the breaker blows. Once it cools, it will close and the circuit will operate again. While it is in operation, you look for the lights that operate and the ones that don't. Check the ones that don't. Although it's rare for a bulb to cause a fuse to blow, it does happen.
I often find problems are due to radio installations or other types of installations. So if you don't have a factory radio or if you have some type of accessory which has been installed in the console or dash, this would be a prime suspect. Nissan's are not really known for electrical problems unless they have been in collisions. If your car has been in a collision, look in the area where it was hit. You may find a pinched wire or damaged insulation. I am not quite sure what model your car would compare to in reference to a US car.
The Bluebird's were 510's. Are the Maxima's now? What ever model it is, unless it has no sister model imported to the
USA, the odds are that the circuits are going to be real close if not identical! I hope I have been of some assistance. Let me know.

SOURCE: Hello A aftermarket radio we installed and now

well your installation is the problem. ck all wires and verify thay are connected to the proper wires. if all wires are properly hooked up, cut the wire from the light switch. if that fixes it, then the radio is bad.

99 honda accord no dash or tail lights

look for a "small light" fuse in the fuse box under your hood.
You probably shorted something while installing the radio. If it continues to blow the fuse, you need to pull the radio out and check your wiring.

My fuse keeps blowinng when i turn on my lights but the headlights ,blake lights and turn signals work but no tail or parking lights

If the fuse blows, you have a dead short to ground somewhere, likely around the tail lights or parking lights. Try this:

Get a box of the correct fuses.
Remove all tail and parking bulbs and put in a new fuse. If the fuse does not blow, try installing each bulb at a time to see which light assembly causes the fuse to blow.
Let's suppose its the RH tail light assembly. Pull it off the car and check for dirt and damaged wiring.

If this is an older vehicle, there may be wiring damage (due to rust) in the harness under the carpets.

There was known concerns with the multifunction switch on the steering column that would blow the fuse fir tail lights, turn signals, and hazard lights.could be feeding back and shutting off radio also.I personally had this problem with the tail light fuse blowing.I use my truck to plow and it sees a lot of shifting, mine is an 05 so wiring diagrams are different, but this could be your problem. Easy diag, remove steering column cover and unplug multi function switch, directional switch, and see if concern stops...

I just bought a 2006 Toyota Corolla S, and my dash lights and tail lights wont come on. All the other lights work, such as the headlights, break lights, turn signals, four ways, front fog lights and...

the tail light issue could be just bad bulbs, check them with a meter ,, also, check the sockets for power to each contact point,, normally if the brake lights and flashers are working, the tail lights should too,, as far as the dash lights have you installed an after market stereo? If so a common problem is a wrong wire got grounded,The harness from the car to the factory radio has a wire for the dash lights that shows up as ground with the light off. When the lights are on the wire is 12V+. Check to see if you connected the ground from the new stereo to this wire. The radio will work perfect but everytime you turn thr park light on the fuse will blow...and the radio will continue to work. There should be a ground wire in the harness as well, ensure you connect the ground from the new stereo to this wire. there is a 15 amp fuse that blows, check them with a meter rather than by sight

I just installed a stereo in my 1982 Dodge R50 and all of a sudden my tail lights keep blowing fuses. But my brake lights, blinkers and reverse lights still work. What could the problem be?

There is a wire that runs to the radio to light it up at night, the illumination wire. That wire is also hooked up to the same circuit that the tail lights get power from. If you wired up that illumination wire to the wrong wire on the radio, that will cause it to blow the tail light fuse as soon as you turn on the lights. Double check your wiring, or check to see that the illumination wire is not grounding itself somewhere behind the radio.

My tail lights are out on my accord and I replace the fuse and then it burns out again

something is shorting out and blowing the fuse. remove both tail light bulbs then change fuse and turn on lights. if fuse does not blow then try new bulbs in tail lights to see if that works. If fuse blows without lights in tail lights then you might have to look at front lights as well since they are all on same fuse i believe.

09 chevy surburban when you turn on the reading light or vanity mirror light, they do not come on as well as the back lighting on the ac/radio go out

Check for blown fuses in fuse panel replace with same value fuse. If keeps blowing you've got a short wire somewhere. Radio is out too? then maybe some kid dropped a coin in the disk slot shorting out the radio. I've seen that alot.

My brake lights work but the tail lights and license plate light don't work every time I turn on the fuse it blows I have a 1984 pontiac fiero.

Remove all bulbs on the tail lights and license plate circuit.
Replace fuse, turn on parking lamps- check if fuse blows without any lamps connected.
If it does, check for short circuit to ground on the taillight/license plate wiring.

If it doesn't blow, re-install one lamp at a time until all lights work. you may have a faulty lamp or lampsocket.
