SOURCE: Need help with 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe Audio Wiring

Sounds like you need a light tester. I would guess that at least 8 of the wires are speaker + & - the others will be Main power and earth Possibly electric ariel, Memory store and a wire for the anti theft circuit. Assuming the stereo is factory. Any Audio shop can perform a test to clarify the purpose of the wires Wouldnt worry about the blank its probably a position for a newer or different model to yours. How to replace rear license plate light connector?

You'll need to obtain a replacement lamp holder. I do not know which particular year vehicle you have - nor do I know if it is the socket or if it is a connector between the socket and the vehicle's wiring harness (you mention both).

You may have luck at a local auto parts store for a socket. If yours is the type that consists of a lens and socket being one piece, you'll probably need to purchase a replacement at a Mazda dealer - or a local junk yard.

If it is a connector - again - the auto parts store, dealer or junk yard should have these parts. You can also cut the connector off and splice the replacement directly to the vehicle wiring if you cant get the part fast enough. If you do this, make sure the connection is tight and waterproof by coating the completed splice with silicone caulking or similar.

Blower motor resistor connector burned resistor. Went to change resistor and found insulation on two wires melted and connector was burned. Can I replace connector or do I need new wire harness?

You'll have to get the connector from an auto salvage yard. I doubt you'll wants to spend all the money or do all the work involved in changing a wiring harness.
When you get the connector get is with as much wire as possible on it. You can then use **** connectors to splice the salvaged connector in where you cut the old one out. Do it one wire at a time and use sealing or weather proof connectors.

My 240 volvo wiring connection to the in tank fuel pump & fuel sending has broken. My question is what are my options for a repair by me for this problem ?

You could replace the wire harness with one from a junk yard or new but that will be a lot of time pulling the old one out and putting the new one in or you could just splice the wires together. You need some "**** connectors" and some "heat shrink tube", some wire cutters and a pair of pliers. **** connectors are color coded for size and you'll probably need the blue ones but maybe the red ones which fits snugly on the wire. Strip about 1/4 inch of insulation off the wires and slide a piece of heat shrink tube onto one end.Put both ends of the wire into the **** connector and crimp them tight with the pliers. Just use the corner of the pliers on the end off the connector and make sure the wire is tightly crimped in. Give it a little tug. If it comes out try again. With the wire crimped slide the heat shrink tube over the connector and use a lighter to warm it up and seal it. You can tape it for extra insurance if you want to.If the wires are too short then simply add a piece usung the same method for both ends. The whole repair should cost you less than $10. Hope this helps.

aftermarket tachs have 4 wires. red for power (pos.) ,black for ground Green goes to distributor tach terminal or neg side of coil , and white for internal light. yours i'm guessing, ig is power, - is ground, and e is engine. goes to dist. see if that works.
