Question about 2005 Chevrolet Impala
It a pain to get to it is located under the steering wheel behind the cover unless you have a switch on the dash to turn on the flashers then the relay is contained in the switch and those switches have a recall on them and you get it replaced for free no matter the mileage or age i suggest you check out the NHTSA website for a list of all safety recalls and instructions to see if your vehicle has one of the faulty switches or your local GM dealership can tell you although not so forthcoming with the information as the NHTSA site good luck

The turn and hazard flashers are integrated into one flasher on these models. The flasher is located in the hazard warning switch and the hazard warning switch is located on the trim plate. Replace the flasher by unplugging the old one, removing it from the panel, and plugging in the new one.
Remove the bezel from the ignition switch
Carefully remove the instrument panel accessory trim plate.
To remove the trim plate, use a suitable prytool to carefully apply pressure at the retaining clip points . . .
. . . then gently pull the accessory trim plate away
Detach the electrical connector from the hazard warning switch.
Unplug the electrical connector from the hazard warning switch . . .
Unfasten the screw securing the hazard warning switch and remove the switch.
. . . then unfasten the screw securing the hazard warning switch and remove the switch from the vehicle
Installation is the reverse of removal.

First....buy a drivers side air flow actuator at a auto parts place for dual zone heating/cooling.
(NAPA etc will have it.....or the dealer)
Open the glove compartment.....all the way....you may have to take the screws out at the bottom......look in at the heater assembly....look over to the left....you will see the two air flow actuators.
Look at the part you have and match it to the part on the heater assembly.
The actuator that is closest to the engine is the drivers side control.
Try your controls and check for heat and cooling on both sides.
The stepper motor in these actuators goes bad on quite a few...but over look that.....you have a great car,good for many miles of trouble free driving.
