Question about Cars & Trucks
We own a 2006 xc 90 with 100,000 miles on it. the fan is broken and were told we needed to pull the dashboard and buy a new fan to install. we are told it would take 6 hours and the fan would cost $600 -- total $1200 -- seems excessive for such a young volvo.
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

check your fuses on top of you battery see if one or two of them are blown that is usually the reason your fans die. well partially the module does not go out that often.. For the fans its 6 bolts and 4 screws . not a bad job. It is easier if you can get the car up in the air to pull the fans out from the bottom. or you will need to pull the bumper and core support away a little to get them out. Good luck will be fun

You may have accidentally switched off the STC. Your car battery voltage may bee too low (this should remedy itself after a while driving). There may be damage to the breaks.
Best thing to do is to take it to the Volvo-service and let the guys check the system with their diagnostic software.

SOURCE: Fuel Pump replacement
you have to remove the rear seats and roll back the carpet. if it is a seven seater you have to take out some ac ducts. then there are two access ports on each side of the floor. they are usually black and have four nuts holding them down you remove those and then you have access to the pump. you need some volvo special tools to remove it. volvo has recall 220 going right now and your fuel pump maybe covered under it. i would definitely talk to the dealership about it. because that would be no out of pocket cost to you
