How to change oxygen sensor 1988 Chevy s10

22 MM wrench or O2 socket and ratchet. And yes, heat helps to get them out. Just a note. Older O2 sensor can strip the threads coming out. they have a rethread tool at the parts store. You will know right off the bat. Most O2 sensors when broke free will unscrew by hand. If you have to wrench it off, the threads stripped.

Do i need special tools to replace 2001 Pontiac Aztek Oxygen Sensor

No special tools are needed, just use a open end wrench or adjustable wrench.

Im trying to change my oxygen sensor bank sensor one and need to know where it located and if there is anything special i need to know about changing it.

What size engine is in this Grand Cherokee? You should be able to get a 13/16 wrench on the hex and remove it. If clearance is an issue, then an O2 sensor socket that is available at most auto stores will be required. I'll need an engine size for an exact location of this O2.

Hi the oxygen sensor is located in the exhaust it will either be just before or just after the catalytic converter it will be bolted into the exhaust and will have two wires coming off it that connect into the wiring loom near the engine.

How to install oxygen sensors on 2000 Honda Accord?

The easiest way is to purchase the direct fit O2 sensors as you don't have to mess with splicing in a new connector. You will need a special O2 socket, and ratchet or a suitable wrench.
First locate the sensor(s), find the exhaust manifold, there should be one there, then follow it back, and you will see the other(s).
Disconnect the connector, then remove the O2 sensor with the socket or wrench. You may need to spray some WD40 or other similar lubricant if it doesn't want to come off.
Just do the opposite to install.

It should not be too hard but there are special sockets to clear the wire, you might get by with a wrench of the correct size, they are either side of the bulge in the front exhaust pipes (the cat converters) and either side of the transmission, are you sure you need all 4?

Need to replace o2 sensor. Where is it located?

The oxygen sensor is located on the pre-catalytic converter (or down-pipe if the pre-cat has been removed) next to the right front wheel well. You'll need to remove the large air intake pipe that runs from the air box to the rear turbo and the two small air lines that run from the blow off and pre-control valves to the air box to gain access to the sensor. I recommend soaking the old sensors threads with Liquid Wrench or WD-40 over night to make the removal easier. The O2 sensor takes a 7/8 inch wrench to remove it. There are special sockets available (7/8" socket with a slot cut in it for the sensor wire) to make removal of the O2 sensor easier but I don't think there is enough room between the sensor and the right front wheel well to get the socket over the sensor. The 7/8" wrench worked fine for me. I recommend the Bosch Universal Oxygen Sensor available at auto parts stores for around $40. You can also install a three wire sensor if you want to electrically pre-heat the sensor. Napa part # OS204 for 86 Ford Escort, $50-$80, 3 wires, black wire to sensor, two white wires to power and ground (optional). If you do use a three wire sensor connect one of the two power wires to a ground and the other to a switched 12v power source. I recommend you stick with a single wire O2 sensor. You'll have to splice the stock sensor wire connector (located near the engine lift loop near the firewall) onto the replacement O2 sensor. Be sure to do a good job with the solder gun, you don't want an intermittent connection for this important sensor. Don't even think of just trying to wrap the wires together without at least using crimp connectors, but I highly recommend soldering the wires together. Put some anti-seize paste (available at auto parts stores) on the threads of the sensor but be careful not to get any on the actual sensor (lower half). You don't need much of the anti-seize but not using any will make replacing it next time much more difficult. My replacement sensor already had the paste on the threads. Screw the sensor in by hand as much as you can then tighten it with the 7/8" wrench. Run the connector wire up and clip it into the wire holders it was in before you removed the older one and connect the black plastic connector. Replace the air pipes.

Where is the bank 2 o2 sensor located on a 2004 Mazda MPV LX

bank 2 is the cylinder in the front of the engine compartment near the radiator, the O2 is either in the exhaust manifold of the bank or in the exhaust pipe off the manifold, round about the size of a jumbo magic marker, you need a special O2 sensor socket to remove it in some cases, if it is in the open then a 7/8 open end wrench will work.

Cavalier o2 sensor

The 02 sensor is screwed into the exhaust pipe, unhook the wire connection, the best thing to use is an 02 sensor socket, and unscrew the sensor. You can use a wrench, but some of them can be stubborn. There are different size sockets, so have the guy in the auto parts store match the new sensor with the right socket.
