If your check engine light is on it means something under the hood is not right. Also you gas cap could be loose.Gas not a cause.

SOURCE: Engine runs rough after about ten minutes /idles really low

Just trowing some suggestions out there, but, I would check the idle air control valve (solenoid) or the throttle position sensor. If they check out then my last guess would be the map sensor or the vaccuum to the map sensor. Hope I was able to help. Best wishes.

SOURCE: NO POWER WHEN PUSHING GAS PEDAL

Only way to know whats going on is to retrieve the trouble code for the check engine light by using a OBD II diagnostic's tool, it's likely the poor hesitation in the vehicle's acceleration is causing the check engine light to appear, the OBD II diagnostic tool plugs into a data link connector under the driver's side dash, you can buy one at most auto parts store's, or if you don't want to buy one some auto parts store's will do a autoscan of your vehicle at no cost.

Going into limp mode by the sounds of it.check the lights on the dash for a yellow one when it happens.that is usually the engine management light.it may be you have an electronic gas pedal because the classic sign is when idling this light comes on.simple cure.with the engine turned off press the gas pedal fully up and down hard 6-10 times.this frees up the mechanism in some cases.restart and see if it has put things to rights.if not you need someone to run the OD diagnostics to see what error codes are stored in the ecu.most garages will do this free but dealerships always charge.

In stead of changing what is not wrong, save money and time by having the fault codes read and fixing the fault
check engine lights refer to both an engine problem and a transmission problem so what you may have could be in the transmission.

Low revs on Toyota avensis 1az engine

For starters make sure not to touch the gas pedal when you ignite. The motor will adjust itself in ignition and touching the gas pedal messes it up.

No speed when gas pedal is to floor tranny light came on

With the oil light coming on and the brake pedal being hard to press I would say that the engine stopped hence no vacuum -no power assist from the booster.- hard brake pedal. The lock uo feeling may come from the engine seizing up while you were still in gear

The engine check light comes on while the engine is running but there is no power when the gas pedal is pressed

Hello
When the service engine soon light a yellow light (Also called the check engine light or engine management light) is turned on this is to alert you to the fact that Powertrain Control Module (computer) has detected a failure somewhere in the systems it controls you may not feel any difference in the way the engine runs, this can be the transmission or the engine or emission system, there are fault codes set in the modules memory for these faults. What needs to happen now is to have the powertrain control module scanned with a special tool called an OBD2 electronic engine control scanner or a OBD2 code reader. Once the code(s) are read then you must perform the diagnostics for each code and make the appropriate repairs based on the findings of the diagnosis that was performed, this is called doing "Pinpoint" testing.

Runs realy rough, lack of power when you press gas pedal, engine light come on and flashing when you press gas pedal.

I had a similar problem, found it to be the wastegate actuator. while driving the car was driving at 0-60mph in 5min. what was found to be the problem was a small leak in the actuator, it wouldnt give me the problem all the time just in extreme weather changes. if yours is giving u the problem all the time then have that checked out.
