You may have a bad battery, or your alternator is bad. Try to jump the car, and see if it starts up to test the battery.

SOURCE: where is the starter relay on a 94 Honda Accord

Yes, it sounds like your solenoid is bad and staying engaged against the flywheel, you could do an amperage draw and a voltage drop test to find out for sure, but you will need an DVOM and a amp clamp. Or you could take it into an auto parts store and they will test it for free. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: replaced starter on 94 dodge ram 1500 5.9 liter 2

your battery may check out fine, being 5.9 liter take a big amperage to turn that starter over 12volt does not mean a thing, amperage is what count. Every auto part store they sell many types of battery and they all 12V but different amperage. Your battery may check out 12V but amperage may have gotten weak. Check all your negative ground that you have good contact to body chassis. You can also try to get a jump from other truck (friends) that has a higher or same amperage as yours to see if it turn over. using jumper cables connect positive cable straight to your positive post and the negative directly to your motor metal ground and see that will also assist the amperage to turn over that starter. This way we can truly eliminate the battery if it does not start. If that don't work than its you ground connections or positive contact. check both positive and negative cables from your battery making sure the wires is good. Inspect the ground wire to your starter making sure it has good contact. Oil and rust will make give a bad contact. If your hear the serenoid clicking when the key is turn over and you can hear the starter making a strong clicking noise to the flywheel but not able to turn your fly wheel, and we try to jump with addition battery increasing the amperage along with good starter, all the gound wires check out, chances are your motor may be lock up. The only way to check if your motor/flywheel is lock up, take all the spark plugs out that way it will reduce your compression, take a big close end box wrench and put it on the main crank pulley and try to turn the main crank pulley over by hand. Go from there and re-post and let us know, one of us will try to continue to walk you through it.

2000 Ford Ranger wont start or turn over.

What is litre size of engine, automatic tranny or manual? Check the wiring circuits at the starter for voltage, use a test light, One circuit is hot all the time, the other circuit goes hot when starter relay is energized. Any testing at the starter make sure tranny is in park or neutral and the parking brake is set. The clicking noise may be the starter relay.

Maybe the ignition is bad- or your starter solenoid stuck in engaged position?

New starter, new relay and new battery...problem is...when I shut off engine and 30 minutes later went out to start again the key turned and nothing happened...it was like the battery was completely dead....

I suspect you have a loose or corroded connection. you should be able to check voltage at relay and if good, jump across from cable coming from battery to terminal from ignition switch. or u can bypass the relay completely by using a jumper cable to go from battery pos to output cable on relay that goes to starter.

Just put a new battery and starter on my ford ranger and it still wont start....lights wont come on nor will my horn blow...what else could it be

Look at the starter relay, the positive battery cable goes from the battery to the relay to the starter. These do go bad. Also check the battery cable to see if tight( both positive and negative). and check to make sure the cables are good, and not broken. hope this helps

94 Ford Ranger won't start. Replaced starter and solenoid and battery checks okay. Suspect a ground problem. Where do I begin?

To start, why did you replace the starter? Was it bad? Did you have it checked? Is the new one good? And what is the battery reading in Volts? Does it click at all, crank at all? Did you check the fusible link? Follow the hot wire from the battery to the link, a giant fuse type thing, check it out. Is the ground wire from the battery bolted to the frame or body, and engine? Is the starter connected right? Are the terminals on the battery posts squeaky clean? they have to be or it won't do anything. Check the electrolyte fluid and see what the gravity of each cell is. The battery with one weak cell is a dead duck. The voltage should be at 13.5 at all times. The posts have got to be clean and tight, the starter should at least click. Do you have an anti-theft device somewhere in there you forgot about? Check it out. Hope this helps.

2000 Ford Ranger 50 amp fuse burns out

Try disconnecting your alternator temporarily. It may have a shorted diode but that would also normally drain the battery too unless it charges over a relay.
The starter relay can't cause this alone and the currents through the ignition switch mostly control relays. If removing the alternator cable didn't work, I would remove the starter (only a few bolts) after disconnecting the ground cable from your battery and try turning it by hand. It should be stiff but not impossible and if it refuses to turn, it may have a short from the field to the case.  It isn't really possible to use a multimeter to check the starter's windings because they are very low resistance when normal (the beast draws 120-200 amps to start) and would look like shorts on a standard meter anyhow.
