Locked out of 1991 Buick Park Avenue

Hi, I lost my keys...not sure if I dropped them in the trunk of the car itself or lost them somewhere.

Delear is charging $450.00 to get the code and make a spare key....any other way that can help me save money would be great.

a) Can I somehow open the trunk of my car if I am able to open door....not sure if there is a manual trunk release...as I only know of the powered release which only works when the car is in ignition mode
b)where in my car can I find the code other then on the cylinder to get a new key made ?

Thanks

Hi riteshm,
Sorry to hear of your problem, been there done that. If you can get inside the car you can remove the back seat and gain access to the trunk. Pull the bottom of the seat from the back, in other words put your hands in the crack between the top of the seat and thebottom, pull towards you while pulling up, the bottom will have to be taen out first then the top. Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution.  lone99star

On all the GM cars, trucks the key code is on a little metal knock out peice in the slot where the key chain goes through the key, so if u didn't save them or u are not the original owner u are out of luck. A locksmith should be able to help u even without the code, that's their bread and lots of butter.

Can't get trunk open 1989 buick park ave. altra keys locked in trunk

Call a lock smith. Your insurance will most likely pay for lockout service. Your other choice is to pry the lock out, and then use a large screwdriver to turn the latch, which will open the trunk.
I'd go with the first option!

Hey i have a 1991 buick park ave i lost my keys i went to the dealer to get one made they said its to old no codes are comen up what do i do please help

You will have to replace the ignition lock cylinder and it will come with a new ignition key. As for the doors/trunk you will most likely have to hire a locksmith to make you a new one. Or you can replace all of the door lock cylinders as well. See links below.

Locked keys in trunk is there anyway to open power trunk

There should be a trunk release switch in the vicinity of the driver seat. There also may be a manual trunk release somewhere in the back seat area. Also, you may be able to remove or fold down the rear seat thereby giving you access to the trunk.

I have Buick Park Ave. 1991. Automatic trunck

There is a motor on the bottom latch that goes bad. Make sure that the fuses are all good. They can be found on the driver's side left of steering column. On the cover if you flip it over will have a list of the fuses and what they go too. If they are all good, the motor is most likely at fault.

Water in trunk 1994 buick park avenue seal seams fine. Can it come from somewhere else?

96 Buick PA. It was the seal between the taillight and the car body. I had my wife get in the trunk with a flash light while I sprayed it with a garden hose. The water would run down the trunk channel and behind the taillight, where the seal had dried out, and then into the trunk.
