Question about 2005 Volvo S40
I have a 05 volvo s40 and it has th echeck engine ligth on so the codes thsat pop out are p0191 fuel rail pressure sensor a circuit range performence p0091 fuel presure regulator control circuit low and p0089 fuel presure regulator performence.

Grounding issue "Circuit low" = ground wire problem or another system on the same circuit using too much current.
Check all wiring issues and then correct the issue to have the code go away :)

Replacement of the fuel pump would be the case here,unless the fuel filter needs to be changed.To find out,remove the fuel filter,and blow threw it with your mouth,kinda tast bad but it will tell you if the fuel filter is restricted.You should be able to blow threw it easy.

Possible problem with the alternator not putting out enough voltage. I had the same problem with my 2002 XC70, putting in a new alternator fixed it. I used a local mechanic who I found on the car talk web-site. Low Cost Volvo parts can be purchased at FCP Groton.
