Your fuse box is inside , lower left kick panel , check all fuses in there , then also in the engine compartment on the firewall around the middle is a junction block with like 2 fusible links , they need to be tested , and also 1 fusible link right off the positive side of the battery , test it also , if you don't have a test light for testing , you can kinda wiggle the fusible links and feel if they are limp and stretchy , that's not a good sign , you can buy replacement fusible links or fusible link wire from local parts store , depending on how much sparking happened you may have blown the fusible links . if you don't have a test light , pick one up at the parts house and learn to use it , it will be invaluable when it comes to testing this kinda of failure . cheers .

I would start with the Fuse Distribution Box Under the hood. Check ALL the Fuses and Relays. Also Check the In Cab Fuse box. Your ECM Fuse for the Computer is in that One. GOOD LUCK!

Could a 1000 amp battery blow fuses in a 1999 blazer

Likely there is a blown fuse but a battery won't blow a fuse on its own. Change any blown fuses and if that fixes the issue and the fuse doesn't blow for awhile then your ok but if the fuse blows quickly then you have an issue with the electrical system and you need to take it to a shop

I have a draw on the battery on my 85 Toyota pickup it kills a fully charged battery in about 2 hours... Ive put a volt tester between the disconnected positive battery cable and the positive battery post...

Go to You Tube Video & see how to do a parasitic CURRENT
drain test

What you have done so far with a test light & volt meter is basically
doing nothing

You need an amp meter & a wiring diagram, then pull fuses one
at a time, to get to the circuit that causes the drain, then use the
prints to test that circuit for voltage drops

Battery hooked up wrong

Disconnect the main battery to alternator wire and check again.
NOTE: DO NOT FORGET TO INSULATE THE REMOVED WIRE WITH INSULATING TAPE DURING THE TEST.
The diode rectifiers in the alternator may have become shorted due to the reverse polarity.

This is like the 4th battery I changed, they keep losing power, alternator has been replaced already new not refurbished. Where's the nearest cliff. lol

Hi
Your alternator may not be powerful enough to support your engine/battery consumption. You may have some wire or component draining your battery due to a short in the wiring or internal damage to the component. At any rate, get it to a mechanic that can track down the problem with test equipment for that purpose. Last thing you can change would be the starter.
Thanks for using Fixya.

No electrical power at all checked grounds, fuses, relay, etc 1989 none turbo supra with sport package

Check for a grounded positive wire from the battery or alternator. This could be in a wiring harness or actually in the Alternator or Starter. First disconnect the Alternator and see if you get power from the battery, if no reconnect the alternator and disconnect the starter and see if that allows you to get power from the battery, if no you have a grounded positive wire that is causing a short.

I have a 1994 toyota pickup 2wd. Just recently it had a wire burn up on the wiring harness running to the alternator from the main harness. It burned the ground clean off the alternator the first time then...

If it is arcing at the terminals on the battery, not necesarily. It might not be getting a clean connection, torque that baby down on clean lead. Wire brush it, look for the short at night, when you can see something sparking. When you disconnect the alternator, you are running on battery power only and it takes a lot of juice out of the battery, will kill a new battery in 20 mins. Did you take the alternator to the store yet, to get it checked?

I replaced the alternator on my 1991 Toyota pickup and it still is not charging.

Make sure you have 12 volts going to the ALT. If not you have a popped fuse or open wire.

Fuel pump wont run and keep blowing a fuse in the front fuse box

The power wire to your fuel pump must be shorting out somewhere. Disconnect it and see if your fuse still blows. If not, then follow the wire all the way back to the fuel pump, and look for a bare spot. Good luck!
